Yahoo Finance (why this was posted in the Business Insider I do not know) has the Panthers listed as having a 5% change of winning the Super Bowl.  Note the Falcons were given a 4% change.

What's interesting is they go on to say the Falcon have a 50% chance to win the NFCS over the other 3 teams.  Guess they like the Panthers in the post season over the Falcons.  I can live without the NFCS title if it means hoisting the Lombardi over our heads in the end.

Being 3-0 is great but truth is ... we haven't played anybody yet.  Sure, every week is tough in the NFL but our schedule thus far has been pretty low on the 'toughness scale'.  Our record at the mid-point (4 weeks after the bye) will be a better indication.

we also haven't been really healthy this year. We haven't had our full starting defense play a single game, and might not til Thanksgiving.

yes, the Panthers have had a weak schedule so far, but we're an inured bunch, so we've won despite being injury-riddled.

once this team gets healthy, any team would be worried about playing us. The Panthers just have to keep beating the teams that we are supposed to beat and we'll be fine.

The Falcons schedule is significantly easier the rest of the way than the Panthers schedule so it makes sense they are favored to win the division, but they think we are a better team so we have a better chance to win the Super Bowl.

Remember, for every three teams that make the playoffs, five don't. Additionally, one out of every thirty two teams is garaunteed a super bowl victory once per season. It's the rules.

Yes... and? I feel like you were setting up to make a point and then

    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
    • oh now that's what you call Mother Fiuggure fans the ones that always have this fierce protective shield around the team no matter if they win or lose  & to be honest there is nothing really wrong with being a Mother Fiugguer fan they just have a different meaning or sense of what a true fan really is                                                 ☺️
    • I'd gamble, miles josh green and 2-3 firsts especially if we could trade both this years and 1 future
