Something I am going to keep an eye on going forward. 

 

Yesterday on a play that was blown dead, Luke kept his hands on Marshawn Lynch until he was sure the play was dead. At times the players could not hear whistles on the field. Luke was not being aggressive, not tackling. Just making sure the play was dead before he let Lynch go, looking for verification from the officials. 

Lynch then gave a stiff arm to Luke's head... and not just for a second. 

 

You bet your butt Lynch knows Luke was just taken off concussion protocol. 

 

I am not saying Lynch was intentionally trying to ring Luke's bell a bit. I'm just sayin.

When has Lynch ever played like anything but a thug? Off-field seems like he takes some time for his community, but when it comes to football, he'd cut someone.

That's something Lynch should be used to, so he was definitely trying to control what Luke was doing. meh whatever, now Lynch wont have to say anything to the media in January and not get fined.

I saw that play but kept wondering why Luke held on to Lynch for so long, the play was obviously dead and he was seeing the action had stopped

In the NFL, a whistle is blown to indicate the end of a play. If Luke had heard the whistle, he wouldn't have kept holding on.

I loved when Lynch started dancing on the sidelines when the seattle was up by 13. If felt even better to come back and beat their ass after they were laughing on the sideline.

I didn't hear a whistle. If there was one it wasn't the typical loud whistle.

They also  did initially rule it a sack so it seemed like a fumble was expected.

I immediately posted on the Game thread where the penalty was for Lynch..I hope Rivera sends this to the NFL to review..it seems every time we play these seachickens Rivera has to send something to the officials to review..just some dirty players..

Lynch is old and about to fall off a cliff into obscurity, retire, then experience the depression lots of NFL players enjoy after their careers end.  Luke is just beginning a HOF career.  Lynch was just being a jealous bitch

I didn't hear the whistle either and it was clear Luke wasnt being unnecessarily rough, but making sure he didn't let Marshawn run free to the end zone.  Smart play.

Reading into that to much Igo. Lynch is about the only good dude on that team. He doesn't talk a bunch of $hit and I doubt he even knew it was Luke specifically. He heard the whistle, let up, and still had some dude hanging all over him. 

All about that action boss.

I rewound that play and watched it 2 or 3 times right after it happened.  I couldn't hear the whistle at all on the FOX broadcast.  I also noticed that the ref that Luke was looking to for confirmation that the play was over had turned around looking to the head ref looking confused himself.
