What Eagles Fans are Saying

I don't even understand the Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire play on words. He was never a scammer... It's like me calling their old QB Donovan McStabb when he's never been accused of stabbing someone.

Philbillys don't let facts get in the way of insulting someone. It's their culture. Insult complete strangers before fighting them. Rob you if they win and then Philadelphia Parking Authority tows the victim's car while their recovering in the hospital. Completely different set of manners than Southern gentlemen and ladies have.

Luck is losing his shine this season. The narrative we'll hear if we beat the Clots will be about Luck struggling this year after getting to the AFC championship game last season instead of how much better the Panthers are getting, just like the Seattle game.

ok, read your first and last sentences. You created that narrative yourself

Didn't create it, just some advance scouting. Last week is what they are considering his first good game of this season. They laid the groundwork for the focus to be put on what's wrong with Luck and the Clots if we win. Same way Seattle got the lion's share of the spotlight after we won.

Anything can be argued because his current performance arc drives the narrative. It's that way with Peyton, too. He's been great in the past, but he's not scary this season. There's been a ton of debate on here about Luck, especially comparing him to Cam. In the interest of keeping the talk focused on the Iggles, I used the qualifier undisputably in my original post. I have an opinion about Luck's past seasons, but that doesn't mean I need to share it with everyone and rehash an offseason debate yet again.

comparing a great qb on his final legs to a rising star in his fourth year. Smh "he hasn't been scary this season" like he somehow forgot to play football over the offseason after that AFC championship game appearance.

Your falling into a trap of thinking a media narrative has anything to actually do with a players skill level. Because he isn't "perceived" as being as good as he was doesn't make it true. You would think people would have learned that by now under cams 5th year.

I cant think of a comment snarky enough to truly convey how hard i laughed at that eagles fan when he kept going on about the giants game from years ago as his platform for "Cam cant bring his team back from adversity!! NO NO NO I DONT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT ALL THE TIMES HE HAS DID YOU NOT SEE THAT GIANTS GAME MAN? WERE YOU NO WATCHING? QUIT BEING A HOMER #towel #adversity #bradfordleaderofmen"

What a collection of south jersey racist yankee dorks

There is something perversely hilarious about a team saying "they haven't played a good QB" when that team also doesn't have a good QB.

Bradford will be like the 3rd or 4th best QB we have faced this year...

This ain't the Giants.  Eagle offense plays like they did on Monday they have no shot.

Luck is playing with a bum throwing shoulder behind iffy OL play.

Kinda a similar type thing as Cam playing w/ bad foot, busted ribs early last season....Luck is legit when healthy.  Has his own flaws but definitely a legit top young QB.

    • Right, so basically what I said in my first post about this last night. Tepper needs to use that big wallet of his in one of the few ways it can be used in the NFL given the cap.   Give Scourton a bigger signing bonus but not a fully guaranteed deal. Everyone wins in that scenario as if Scourton is smart and hires good money people, he'll take that bigger signing bonus and use it to make more money in the end over the next 4 years than if he just had his fully guaranteed deal and a smaller signing bonus.
    • It is all confusing and layered. SB is the cash you get very soon within weeks or in simple terms, its what you get to sign the paper work. Players and agents can agree on contract but what to "wait" to sign......teams don't like that cause you can "Carlos Boozer" yourself. In order to get that ink dry, while keeping the contract the same, portion it as a bonus to "sign" and get the funds with ________ .   * But Ive seen worded contracts that split the SB or a 20% to a later date. The beans counters can fill in the details about why certain dates are better and save the team money.. Theres tricks to the trade and accounting is full of them.    Ugh another big layer, is SB can be used to manipulate cap and players. Ill try to give a example that makes enough sense. Believe it or not having a owner like Tepper is a cheat code for this. He has cash in hand, where as Mark Davis had problem making pay roll and had to move the team to Vegas....... Tepper can give you 100,000,000 SB right now and the team can spread out the cap hit. Another owner doesn't have or want to give the player 100,000,000 in cash, but offered the same guaranteed contract in roster bonuses fully guaranteed over the next few years........ Which one do you want??? Everyone wants the money now, not before another inflation waves hits in 2 years. So it does 'pay" to have a owner like tepper that's able to have real cash on hand, while it also works GREAT for cap help. Heres a good video, if you can stand coked up pat and mask look-a-like AJ
