There you go with the ridiculous Huddle Logic.  Read the DAMN article that was posted.

It did NOT say that Carolina was leading the league.....it said that Stewart is 2nd in the league in rushing. 

So your assertion that our running numbers are only good because of Cam's running are not even valid.....and were proven laughable by the article.

 

Instead of getting all upset you might want to consider that our running backs have not had good games this year. I recognize that Stew has great stats when you reach back to last year and include those last few games. BUT. This year he has not had a great year and our rushing attack is buoyed by Cam's rushing numbers. JStew is currently 19th in rushing THIS YEAR. And I was pointing out that while the Panthers are 3rd in rushing this year, Stew is not the reason...Cam is.

But go ahead and get mad...it's in your name.

I hope they plan on running to the left side of the line more.  Norwell and Turner were getting some mad push against Seattle's line, and Norwell was playing out of his mind in general.  Not to mention Kalil had a hell of a game.  Those guys are coming together it seems.

Stewart is our leading rusher, so he is definitely part of the reason.  But running the ball is a team effort.  The holes have to be there or it doesn't matter who is the running back.  When Cam runs, he has a slight advantage in that the defense doesn't know if its run or pass.  That is an advantage that Stewart doesn't have.

Very true. And I didn't intend to say that JStew hasn't had an impact running. Just that his 50-60 yard games this year are not indicative of the #3 rushing offense. Absolutely he's part of it...slightly more than half. But that's atypical. And that was the point. And yes, for sure the Oline is the biggest part of that. The concern has been that they played great at the end of last year and the only change has been Oher. I think that's what confuses people about why the RB running game has been subpar this year...so far.

Our OL was actually blocking better for our RBs last year. This season, the roles have been reversed. We're protecting Cam more so than blocking well for our RBs.

When I wrote "the line wasn't blocking well" I was referring to this season before the bye week, and obviously in reference to the run game since we're talking about Stew.

I  not upset.  I am pointing out that our RB is 2nd in the league in rushing for the last 9 games....that is s fact.  You are the one making ridiculous assertions that our RB's have not been good...which is proven to be wrong by said facts.

you will believe what you want, and that is fine.

i don't see how anyone can hate on stew. most of the time as soon as the ball is in his hands, someone is already in the backfield. our line simply isn't doing that well at run blocking this year. only reason the run game still works is because of cam's legs. maybe we should keep sprinkling in some of that ridiculous looking jet sweep and triple option stuff like against seattle (tho obv not as much as chud did in 2012).
