Trap game

On a serious note, I think this Panthers team simply forgot how to lose.. We win against a Saints offense that had a 92% completion of offensive passes, come back down by 13 pts ag literally the hardest arena in all of sports to win at and  we then beat a pretty decent Eagles team by double digits after our QB throws three interceptions, all three of which resulted in pretty good field position for the Eagles btw.

I really think this team doesnt even know how to lose anymore. Not many teams can still win by double digits when you throw three picks.

I can't believe I'm saying this but...there's a lot of truth there. I think what it speaks to is the belief in the locker room. The atmosphere or mindset that Rivera has everyone believing.

Leadership is not a tangible thing. We have it in spades throughout the staff and players. This is a special bunch.

I think they remember the taste of losing soooo much that is the underlying fire but I'll give props to PU for pointing out the obvious resilience of this team.

Yep, it's the thread everybody loves to hate.

But I woke up this morning and this was on my mind. Too much going "wrong" with Colts. And Panthers are on a "hot streak".

Colts should be a good team this year, and they haven't performed.

I was a little irked by the fact that the guys were celebrating in the locker room after the Eagles victory.  I liked the somber Panthers attitude they had with mild celebrating after the Seahawks game.

Am I wrong?  God I hope so, but something just doesn't feel right to me about this matchup.

Ohh, and I am attending the game, which is the first game for me this season.  We are 6-0 when I watch the game from the couch.

I've been saying this since Sunday. Don't take them lightly. They aren't that bad. Vontae Davis is a solid CB who could easily shut down Ginn. I know that doesn't sound like much, but take away our number one and focus on Olsen we may b in trouble. I hope we keep running the ball down their throats though their lb's aren't a threat. On O though they can be dangerous if they get their poo together

I think our sheer physicality wins the day, honestly.  If the Eagles' dline couldn't handle the power run, the historically awful-against-power-run Colts' dline is in serious trouble.

And we actually celebrated the Seattle win like we had just won the Super Bowl, not sure what you're talking about. I think we'll be just fine.

I see your not an All-Pro member, and you should be FYI, it's worth $5 a month....anyway, in all pro, Jeremy painted quite a different picture in his "Locker Room Impressions" thread. I have attached a screenshot of the first two paragraphs below.  Hardly sounds like they celebrated like they "won the Super Bowl". I liked the teams "business as usual" mantra.  From the stuff I have seen, the Panthers had quite the celebration after the Philly game...it just concerns me that they are getting too confident. #negativenelly

There are no trap Monday Night Football games.

That, plus this team is still feeling a lack of respect. They've got something to prove every week.

The game history on Panthers vs. Colts is interesting in that we've beaten them 4 out of the 5 games played, and their win was in Charlotte. We won 3 games at Indy and 1 at Clemson, so even though we've dominated them, we've never beaten them in Charlotte. Time to fix that.

Their D is ranked...32nd.

Agree.

This is the first time in a long time I've felt this way about the Panthers.

Many times before it felt like we "just got by". When we were behind in Seattle I honestly felt like somehow, someway we would still win...

why do you think the colts should be good? this feels like regression to the mean for a flawed team disguised by a shitty, shitty division and occasional hero ball from ty hilton and andrew luck

they should be good because they got all the old big name free agents....at least according to many here

    • I am trying to remember when I EVER said reach for need. My thing if someone falls you jump, if you can trade back a few slots and get help at the right value and pick up some ammo to move up from 51 which I think is outside the money zone, then you do that.   Take a WR later. Plenty of capable WRs have come from the 3rd round. Though this year I would go for C there if there was a reasonable choice. Take a TE if you must. I see more reason to take WR than TE. I think you give guys drafted two years ago and last year a chance to develop before cancelling them.    I think it is kind of unrealistic to throw everything all in on offense in hopes of going deep in the playoffs after an 8-10 year, even if it did have some nice bright spots in it.    And outside of this argument but relevant to it, I am bothered by Canales and Morgan and their apparent posture that we have arrived and are now in the big boy club. I don’t know where that comes from. They are out there talking like they are winners at 8-10. Backing into the playoffs in a real convoluted tie breaker scenario. They had some good games, yes. But the big feather n the cap, the LA Rams matchups, did you see what the Rams did? They didn’t fire the coaches but they fired their defensive backs. Bryce beat them yes, and it was pretty, but it was kind of like the Bucs and Mike Evans picking on our decimated secondary in 2022. Someone (Wilks) went down for allowing that to happen and they went down in LA too.  Wr aren’t as good as a whole lot of homers think we are. Shore up the trenches.    I think too many fans buy into it because they are so starved for anything that looks like a winner.
    • How exactly does one win OROY "by default"? Wouldn't winning the award mean that of the two, McMillon stayed strong the entire year while the other guy didn't and fizzled out? That's like saying Secretariat only won by default because the other horse stopped moving midway through the race. Absolutely zero logic in that statement, which makes me very glad that I've never really paid much attention to Walterfoozball.
    • I agree, teams in the past have fired the HC in order to retain a coach on staff...hell it happened to Mcderp this year, rams in the past and Im missing another.  The fall off for the Panthers team defense was huge once Mcderp leftd and Ron could not fix it even when he named himself DC.
