Colts vs mobile qbs

Cam is going to eat. For a few reasons.

Weak Colts defense.

Home game.

Cam can't be happy with his game last week and wants to show off in primetime

A little longer preparation time for a team that has come in to every game prepared (save for the Saints game, but they had a QB which we had no tape on).

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we hang 35+ on them.

I think the Panthers offense will have a good night.

However, the defensive line MUST get pressure on Luck.  If they don't and he gets comfortable back there, they have the weapons on the outside to make for a bad night.  All comes down to pressure.  We get it and we win....we don't and we might be pissed.

I'm not really worried about Cam anymore.  I think he's generally going to play well enough to win, occasionally EPICLLY well.  =)

I'm with the pressure Luck camp.  Our passrush has been pretty inconsistent.  I'd love to see Delaire come back and make some more noise.  I've seen in his few snaps he is still super fast and he does get some pressure.  If we can get to Luck early on, we should be able to pound the Colts into the turf.

If Luck gets warmed up with some easy completions...it's going to be a long night!

I'm just glad we have a QB that just happens to be mobile.

I don't even think you can consider Cam to be "mobile" at this point. Mobile, to me (take that for what its worth) means somebody that will scramble on most plays, has to get outside of the pocket,(Wilson) etc. On most passing plays Cam just sits in the pocket, assuming no pressure.  His mobility on kicks in when things break down, or on a designed run, like at the goal line. He is a dynamic mix of the two and its a beautiful thing.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
