- He said he still has a lot of respect for Coach Fox and the rest of the guys in Chicago, but is happy to be here in Carolina.

- Says most quarterbacks go down easy, but trying to sack Cam Newton is difficult because of his size. He is glad to be on this side instead of the other.

- Says Andrew Luck is another tough quarterback to bring down because of his size. Joked that the NFL needs to start drafting small QBs to make it easier on the defense.

- When asked about Halloween, stated that his family is going with the barnyard theme. He will be dressing up as a cow this year. Also...if you ring his doorbell and are respectful, you can take all the candy you want.

I'm surprised by how much of an impression John Fox made on Allen considering he only played for him for a training camp and three games this year.  He's stated how much respect he has for Fox several times since they traded him to Carolina.  Maybe he's just secretly super appreciative Fox traded him from a borderline dumpster fire to a potential Superbowl contender...

why do you feel the need to quote that poo when youre the next response and its just a generic response not directed to him?

He also commented about his preseason game against the Colts.  That's awesome--we get a pre-scout scouting report on them.  Granted, Allen was playing a different position, but he still knows first hand what the team is made of.  On the flip side, Colts Oline played Allen as a 3-4 LB, now he's a 4-3 DE, which should give him a leg up.  Hopefully he continues with the career resurgence!

Foxy gave the man an opportunity to end his career playing his natural position. After the HUGE signing bonus they gave him this past summer, it's crazy they let him go. Allen understands that, which is why he is so grateful and will continue to song Fox's praises.

Not to mention the obvious fact that Allen finally will get his ring this year.

edit: posting from phone and when I went to put in a spoiler it made the quoted post a spoiler.

Spoiler was supposed to be

Yeah I just went there

    • Another ugly loss incoming.
    • 5 yards a carry is great IMO opinion because we are talking an average of 2nd and 5, which means the defense can't sit solely on the pass or run. I understand 5 is an average and not all carries are going to be that, but he definitely had better runs than Chuba. When we have Chuba running the ball for 1 or 2 yards and getting stuck in 2nd and 8 or 3rd and 6, we have to pass - which as we saw was the nail in the coffin for us with Dalton back there. The only 2 drives in the game where we had a legit chance of scoring (before garbage time) was the drive we scored a FG on and the drive Andy took the inexcusable sack on to cost us points. No coincidence that the RB on the field those drives was Rico (who pretty much picked up 5+ yards every carry outside of that goofy direct snap play). It really needs to be a 2-to-1 ratio of snaps in favor of Rico going forward (unless Chuba gets better). I don't care if we are paying Chuba more. Other teams have had no problem benching the guy being paid more if the other player is doing better - just look at the Falcons and them starting Penix over Cousins like 6 games into his rookie season.
    • Depends on perspective. I do think the talent is great. Whether T-Mac reaches his potential is another story, especially within these current circumstances. Some of the metrics are really good already (like average yards per catch). Even PFF already had him as the 20th or so best WR in the league.
