The evolution of PHILLY BROWN

I'm not sure if I was super drunk last night or Did I see Philly Brown getting separation and getting in the right position to make a play on the ball. Seems like if we get into a pickle he's going to be the guy to make that play we need.

He's always been able to do those things, his flaw is just his hands.  If he cures his dropsies, he could be a real weapon for us.

No,  he hasn't done it consistently enough this season.  Last night was good for him,  but let's not fool ourselves.  He is not a starting caliber NFL receiver .

If you're waiting on an evolution,  then there is some creationism going on in your mind as it pertains to Philly.

Ted Ginn might have caught that sickness

Ginn's weakness has always been the bombs that give him a lot of time to think - he rarely drops the slants/outs/quicker-hitting routes. Unfortunately, his speed makes the bombs a real threat and he's dropped no fewer than 5 long TDs this year.

This is our guys whose hands we rely on to field punts, with 250 lb guys running full speed at him trying to take his head off.  And he catches those without an issue.  He is 5 yards past his defender running a go route and the ball hits him right on target in the hands with nobody near him, several times this year, and he drops it.  Inexcusable.

Every time the national talking heads talk about Cam's completion percentage, they should be forced to watch that overtime throw to Ginn.

That drop is gonna stick out in my mind as the most painful, aggravating one of the season (I hope).

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
