NFC South - Strongest division in the league

So 8 Weeks into the season and our division has 20 combined wins to 10 loses so far, the best in the league.

Division    W - L  (Total)    = Winning percentage

AFC East      17 - 11 (28) = 0.607
AFC North    15 - 16 (31) = 0.483
AFC South    9  - 21 (30) = 0.300
AFC West    16 - 14 (30) = 0.533

NFC East     12 - 17 (29) = 0.414
NFC North   14 - 15 (29) = 0.483
NFC South   20 - 10 (30) = 0.667
NFC West    16 - 15 (31) = 0.516

The NFC East would be .500 if they didn't have to play the NFC South

Against the NFC East: 7-2

Panthers 1-0

Saints:2-1

Bucs 0-1

Falcons: 4-0

Against the AFC South: 7-2

Panthers 3-0

Saints 1-0

Bucs 1-2

Falcons 2-0

If only they had won the games they played in, the NFC East might not look like poo.....

Sweet but what I'm really looking for is for the NFC South to be just like the AFC East where we play the part of the Patriots and have a Super Bowl run every few years and all the other teams in the division have no direction and can't put together any sort of consistency.

And we play the AFC south and the NFC east, the two weakest divisions. Maybe the Stars have aligned just right for us.

Last year playing the NFC and AFC North was a tough draw.  People were pooing on the NFCS but we had tough out of division games (oh and we had to play other NFC division winners too)

Not saying NFCS is a great division, but I think the division got too much grief last year and wasnt as bad as many pundits made it out to be

I think I'm OK with that.

Are people really questioning what I said? Just because the AFC South and NFC East are garbage doesn't mean I think the Panthers are overrated. We're about the 3rd best team in the league. But look at a garbage team like Atlanta. Undefeated against the AFC South and NFC East, winless against everyone else. Good luck convincing anyone that those divisions would be awesome if they didn't have to play us, that isn't flying because it's not true.

I think some of you have a stupid case of NFC South pride. Are you guys going to drive to Nashville and chant "NFC South!" at Titans fans as the Saints whoop their asses like SEC fans do?

    • Well, the whole rationale used  for the high IQ point guard is it would allow us to spend our resources elsewhere….instead it’s all our first rounders ever since to support the bad pick.  Reality is our front office is just bad.  If you wanted Bryce Young you were going to need to do something unique and special for him.  Instead we just insert a QB with traditional tools into old NFL concepts that pair with traditional talent and our pass game is whack
    • Good to see some other folks are speaking the same language on this. It's simple common sense. But it seems like there's a disconnect due to the misplaced value the team has put on Thielen because he was the only vaguely good veteran WR willing to sign with the Panthers after we traded away DJ Moore. That time has come and gone. We have two first round WR's on the roster now.
    • Yeah I’m turning this into a Bryce can’t play QB thread. Just stating that offense was a poo show two years ago. No QB is succeeding in that, much less a rookie. I feel like it’s become a common debate strategy on here to just jump down the rabbit hole of saying he is just bad in so many ways when any certain point gets countered. If that doesn’t work we can deflect to how poorly this team has been ran. In regards to the actual point we are debating, the OL was struggling, half of the skill players aren’t on a roster, Mingo has done nothing with his new team and the staff are either not coaching or on their 3rd team in 3 years, aside from McCown (I liked McCown too). Honestly about as bad as it gets. No need to try to state how good of an offense it was billed it because that has been proven false at this point.
