What Packers Fans Are Saying

We've known since the schedule release that this was going to be a tough game. To many people, the Packers are still the best team in the NFC. While a loss here wouldn't derail our season, a win would be huge for the Panthers. Not only to stay undefeated, but it shows that we can win big games. The past 3 weeks have felt like playoff games and this one will be no different. A win here builds that experience and confidence that will be beneficial in January.

The Pack is good, but we ain't too shabby ourselves.

I don't know that beating the Packers in Charlotte is tougher than leaving Seattle with a win, but I guess media perception makes it true. Personally, I look at their competition so far, and their season stats, and I see a beatable team. We need a solid, low turnover performance, but we can definitely go into Nashville 8-0.

Just now, CRA said:

it is Wed and Kalil is still in a boot.  I have mentally ruled him out.

Boot doesn't mean much to me. He was warming up before the Colts game to see if he could play then had the boot on on the sidelines and he didn't suffer any setbacks. Rivera said Kalil was close for the Colts game so without setbacks he should be good for Sunday.

That was such bullpoo.  Refs are so horrible somethimes at things they really is no excuse for them to be that bad at.  Hey, let me blindside a NFL player and if he tries to get the unknown body off him I'll eject him.

We always have a chance but it wont be easy...Keys to the game are long offensive grinds to keep the ball out of Rogers hands and  to rest our D and keep them fresh. Ginn catching the ball and giving us some field position on punt returns. I'm thinking if Funch gets in they might neglect him and it might be a good time for him to take a step up and produce for us. Hope we have some new stuff from Shula because i'm sure they are onto the slant to Philly for an easy 10 and the fake up the middle with a toss handoff to Ginn for and end around....

EASILY the toughest game the Panthers will play all season. The Packers are beatable, but in the same vein, they have the ability to put this game away by the end of the 3rd if the Panthers don't win the TOP. We. Have. To. Move. The. Ball.   As others have said, if we allow this D to get gassed the way they did Monday, Rogers will feast. I feel good going into Sunday though, there's something special about this years squad, hopefully they'll display what's special about them on Sunday

with us being most likely without Kalil and Norwell, I am not too confident about this game. Rodgers will pick at the weak spots of the secondary (Harper and Tillman) if the DEs and DTs cannot generate pressure. McDermott is gonna have to get creative with his blitzes to keep Rodgers out of his rhythm. And on offense, we have to somehow establish the running game behind Velasco and Scott filling in for Kalil and Norwell. I think we should be able to keep it close, but I can't say I am all that confident with so many important players being injured.

    • Is it true jack plummer was the first guy they hurry up and signed??? I have heard people say this.
    • Weren't Icky and Grier both Panthers fans too?
    • I didn’t like this draft at all. XL, our first pick had one good season out of five and doesn’t have burst off the line.  I wanted Ladd here because I think he’d have been a much better pairing for BY9s weak arm.  We need to be an excellent west coast style offense if Bryce is gonna shine.  A burner that takes 3 steps to get moving and doesn’t separate at the line is a bad choice IMO. I don’t even want to talk about drafting a RB after having Foreman make us feel better about trading CMC only to send him packing and give Sanders top FA money last year to fall on his face.  We always try to get cute and find value.  The fact that we were the first team to take a RB (one recovering from a serious injury no less) tells you we didn’t get the memo 31 other teams got.  RB has a huge role in protection responsibility, it’s a huge reason some great backs are situational…they suck in protection.  A rookie RB helping protect BY doesn’t warm my heart.  We should have taken the top C on the board here IMO. LB and yet another project TE that’ll probably just frustrate us all for how long he hangs around seemingly doing nothing.  Then a bunch of dice rolls that aren’t changing any fortune unless it’s a complete accident. TLDR This whole draft looks like JAGs to me at best.  I don’t like the XL or JB picks at all.  Always happy to be wrong when I have a negative take.
