It's not the same defense we had last year and thankfully our offense is putting up some points!!

The last couple games have showed that and big props for funchess for two big BIG PLAYS !!

We need more bodies in the DL, Johnson and Edward will help with that.

Well the D could have afforded this collapse if Cam hit those 2 wide open TDs..

51-29 and no one is concerned at all...

Better yet missed 30 yard FG....40-29 and no one is concerned....

The offense has it's mistakes too

37-14 and no one is concerned at all... If your offense needs to put up 51 pts to win, then you are a horrible team

I won't say "carrying" but this defense has got to get better. Our front office has dumped too much, given up too much on offense, and built this team too much around that unit for the Packers to move the ball like that in the 4th.

Cam Newton and this offense was NOT built....NOR SHOULD THEY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR going toe to toe with Aaron Rodgers and elite offenses.

If the Huddle/the Panthers wanted that type of team...we should have INVESTED in the offense and surrounded Newton as such.

The 2nd half is far from just the defense's fault. GB is a quality team that can score points, even against good defenses, and a couple of offensive first downs and not throwing a pick would have made the 4th quarter very, very different.

I think Cam would disagree.  In fact, he did disagree in a post game interview, talking about how the defense bailed them out after a bad throw on his part.

It was a team effort.  Both played well for the first three quarters, and both played horribly for the last 10 minutes or so.  Fortunately the defense made just enough plays to win on that last drive by Green Bay.

lololol

37 freaking points is a RARITY in the NFL, but in order to spin your anti-Cam narrative, the heart attack at the end of the game was CAM'S fault because we didn't score 51?

Dude, you are *delusional*.

    • CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers coach Dave Canales said Friday that starters will play in the first two preseason games, stopping just short of admitting he made a mistake last season holding them out. The plan includes playing quarterback Bryce Young, who got off to a historically bad start to the 2024 regular season that got him benched after opening 0-2. Carolina opens their preseason schedule Friday at home against Cleveland, followed by an August 15 road game at Houston and August 21 home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.   Canales said he will evaluate after the first two games whether starters will play in the third game. "Kind of going through it last year, we had a mix of veteran players, but [this is] predominantly a pretty young team,'' said Canales, who has at least six new starters to the defense that was the worst in the league a year ago. "I just can't pass up the opportunities. The reps in games are valuable. "[But] it goes to the night before, when guys know they're going to go out there, they've got to make a decision to play football. So it starts the night before with the prep. You start thinking about your plan, taking care of your body, making sure you get your rest.''   https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45880676/panthers-starters-play-first-2-preseason-games-says-coach
    • You call the Cowboys purely for information, but we don't have the assets to pull off any realistic trade. Also, even if they would consider any trade, it's more likely they want to do it with an AFC team.
