CJ returning to practice this week!

Straight from the man himself! CJ has plenty left in the tank, regardless of what a lot of folks have said. If fully healthy, Johnson will play well down the stretch, just like last year. My only concern is that we have to make a cut when he comes back to the active roster in 2 weeks.

Edit: I can't embed tweets, sorry. I asked CJ via a tweet if he was returning this week and he replied that he was.

With Funchess having a great game, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bersin taken out.

Great news though.  What a great rotation we'll have.  If we can get Dwan back too for the DT rotation.  I'm assuming we can now limit Allen's snaps a bit, or will we start him with CJ and put Ealy in rotation?  The way Ealy is playing I'm not sure we should cut his snaps.

Either Horton or Bersin gets the axe.

I thought it could be Bersin but I have a hrad time thinking that we would carry 6 DE's. That's really overkill for that position and Bersin has been playing a fair amount of special teams recently.

If I could cut anybody, it would be Dickson. That guy is a complete liability. Won't happen though, Rivera loves his vets... even if they suck.

What have you been watching? Ed Dickson is as good as any #2 TE in the league. Could probably start for some teams.

I'd ask you the same question. His blocking has been God awful, did you see him whiff on the reverse yesterday? He also has a whopping 69 yards on the year.

More evidence of poor usage.

hes a pass catching TE that they inexplicably use to block.

You're right that his blocking hasn't been that good but do you really want to cut the #2 TE when the next guy is Scott Simonson who has barely played a down in the NFL and would leaves us without a #3 TE?

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
