Negative, black is the presence of all colors, speaking from an artist or painters perspective... Unless we're talking about light, as in TVs & such, then you would be correct....

Want to take this to the tenderbox? j/k :-)

There are two theories on this, I guess it depends on how you look at it.

Quote

1. Black is the absence of color (and is therefore not a color)

Explanation:
When there is no light, everything is black. Test this out by going into a photographic dark room. There are no photons of light. In other words, there are no photons of colors.

2. White is the blending of all colors and is a color.

Explanation:
Light appears colorless or white. Sunlight is white light that is composed of all the colors of the spectrum.  A rainbow is proof. You can't see the colors of sunlight except when atmospheric conditions bend the light rays and create a rainbow. You can also use a prism to demonstrate this.

Fact: The sum of all the colors of light add up to white. This is additive color theory.

1. Black is a color. (Chemists will confirm this!)

Explanation:
Here's a simple way to show how black is made: Combine all three primary colors (red yellow and blue) using a liquid paint or you even food coloring. You won't get a jet black, but the point will be clear. The history of black pigments includes charcoal, iron metals, and other chemicals as the source of black paints.
Resource: History of Pigments

Therefore, if someone argues that black is the absence of color, you can reply, “What is in a tube of black paint?” However, you must add the fact that black is a color when you are referring to the color of pigments and the coloring agents of tangible objects.

2. White is not a color.
... but .... in some cases you could say that white is a color.

Color blind NFL fans are complaining that these uniforms make the games difficult for them to watch. They make it harder to distinguish which team is which.

As a color blind fan, I can say without a doubt, the Jets/Bills game royally fugged with my head. I didn't know what the hell was going on or who had the ball. But with that said, I dont think they should stop doing it, its a cool concept.

Oh well we must cater to their sensitivities.

I get that people can't help being colorblind, but if the NFL bows to this and removes the color rush unis, I will be very disappointed.

I may not totally like the Panthers color rush uni, but the concept in general is a great idea.

Would this be your position if you were color blind?

Just asking.  I see this as a good reason NOT to wear certain colors.

I look at it this way--is it possible to make some revisions so that color blind people are not disadvantaged?  I mean, how friggin' important is the color of the pants?   Only certain colors are problematic--so don't use those shades in the color rush uniforms.  Not hard.  I am not color blind, but I am sensitive because I can only imagine what it would be like to watch a game when you are-

since we are playing the Redskins this week, we will probably hear some whiteskins and blackskins telling the Natives how the team name is tradition and not offensive.  Same thing.

As a color blind person, I hope you fuging run into a problem where you have to complain about something that you can't help.

The NFL is right to take it seriously (there is already talks about how they will use color blind tests for future uniform displays)

30 million males in America alone are color blind. Yeah, let's not count them.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
