I had to google his 40 time

4.70 combine

But his pro day he ran a 4.48

I need to watch the Dallas game a little more cause I'm surprised we didn't try any deep passes to him yesterday

No but he's surprisingly fast for a guy of his size.

Don't need to get 100% separation when you can body the DB.  That said, he's been getting open the past two games.

he's not fast but he's quick, exceptional at using his body to get open and cutting into his routes. he is a perfect bookend to KB when you've got a ginn-style deep threat to stick into a 3WR lineup.

He plays fast. I don't care about 40 times. The way he comes out if his breaks is very very good. Especially for his size and length. Now that he's consistently catching the ball he's dangerous.

He really does look fluid when running routes. One of the comeback routes he ran was a beauty. I can't believe experts considered him as a TE prospect.

It's all about running proper routes.  The speed is fine for what he does.

He's a mean and lean 6'4 224! I was surprised to see him go for deep routes the past couple weeks but this guy can be the real deal, wish he caught that TD pass vs Dallas but Cam didn't really put it up high enough for him to play on it. When I see him on the field I don't know how anyone thought he was a TE.

With Devin you look for him to use his forearms to push the DB and then go up high for the ball. You end up with the DB off balance trying to jump for a ball he couldn't reach anyway. You can arm bar shove a DB so long as you don't stretch your arms out. Devin out weights all the DBs in the NFL, and out reaches them, so he does not need to be open to catch TDs.

I think he was tripped on that play near the left sideline, 2nd half. But the Ref didn't throw the flag.

We didn't throw deep because Dallas was in cover 2 for basically the entire game. There were two times when they were in single high and Cam checked to the deep routes but Dallas got to Cam before he could make the throw. I thought they had the best defensive game plan against us all year so far.
