Did Jake take himself out of the game? I was watching the game on tv and as soon as he threw that last INT, he went to the bench and sit down. One of the coaches was talking to him and it looked as if Jake said he wasnt going back in? He was shaking his head saying no to something and at that point, I fealt that he would not be back in. I think he took himself out of the game and the staff is trying to say they did it so we dont have the "Jake gave up" stuff going around.

jake's a competitor...and sometimes competitors are willing to admit that they are doing more harm than good.

An interesting idea, but would it make any difference in Fox's decision if he or hadn't? No, it would not.

Regardless of who took the intiative first, the outcome would have been the same: he was done for the game.
