Christmas came early...

Please forgive the personal post, but I'm so excited!  Just bought tickets to the Jan 3rd Tampa Bay game!  I'll be back in Charlotte for Christmas and will go to the game with my brother! (My Christmas gift to him...)

First ever Panthers game at BoA

First NFL game I will be attending in 20-some years!  Counting down the days... though in some ways, I don't want it to come quickly because I don't want this amazing season to be over so soon. (Of course it WON'T be over since we're already assured of being in the playoffs...)

I so hope we will still be undefeated and be going for 16-0 that week.  Torn because I want to see our starters playing, but recognize that by then we may need to be giving them some rest.  But it will be great to be there either way.

Go Panthers, Keep Pounding!!

In so many ways this season has been rewarding. So rewarding that it almost doesn't matter what happens from here on out. I said almost. I'm just saying how much I appreciate this year already. I still stand by my 7 September prediction of 19-0.

I too will be there. First game this season, I've tried to get some tickets to previous games, but I'm not gonna get raped with triple face prices plus over $150 in taxes for the "surcharge"

I'm taking my 5 yr old son who thinks he's Cam Newton. Really looking forward to it

Sweet man. Gonna try to make the Giants game but doubt I'll be able to drive up there from Boston. Was going to go to the Eagles, Packers or Colts game(s) but decided to save up for that home playoff game instead. Glad that we've clinched the division so now I know I can definitely experience a home playoff game this year. And once we advance to the NFC Championship Game at home as well, I'll be there. Super Bowl's too damn expensive so no to that.

Congrats man! Based on Ron's comments in his press conference today, I believe you'll see starters play a considerable amount in that game.  Ron made mention today that he played on a team in which the coach (Ditka) chose to rest starters and Ron felt that their team was rusty in the playoffs.

Point being, Ron won't play the starters with the sole purpose of getting to 16-0, he'll play them because it's what he believes is best for the team in the playoffs.

    • Bryce is a really smart kid and I'm sure he knows all the answers to the test but he hasn't been able to overcome his lack of physical tools and other DC's know this and play him accordingly. I think Bryce has good processing but when the correct read is the WR 30 to 40 yards down field and you have a defensive lineman coming at you what can he really do? He just doesn't have the arm to effectively and consistently hurt the defense and I think that's what's gonna do him in.  Pime example look at the INT versus Dallas last year when Thelien was wide open down the seam and Bryce threw it from a clean pocket and the ball was way short. Dc's watched that and knew that Bryce can't throw the ball deep.
    • I'd give Bryce until the trade deadline to prove he's the answer and if he's not I'm dumping him for whatever pick we can get and I'm riding with Dalton the rest of the way.  2 and a half years is enough time to determine if he can be the QB going forward so for Bryce he needs to come out over the next couple of weeks and show that. The other players in the locker room don't wanna waste another year of their careers waiting to see if you'll ever figure it out.  If you took a poll of the players in the locker room I'm sure they'd rather lose with a respected veteran Dalton who at least gives them some creditability versus losing with Bryce who the entire media will say was let down by his supporting cast when in reality it's Bryce's physical limitations that are holding this team back.
    • I agree that he should’ve never been the pick at 1. In my 44 years I’ve never seen a team invest that much in a QB who is my size. I’m not meant for the NFL and neither is he.    Accepting we can’t change the past, I think it’s the correct call to keep playing him hoping that he will prove us wrong. I think we were dumb not to draft a QB this past year and let him learn and compete but that’s our reality.    I’m hoping this is the last year with the BY experiment and he deliverers us 1. To the playoffs or 2. The number one pick and we draft a real QB.
