We already said this after the Colts and Packers games. Now 3 games with a blown lead. Playoff teams play to the end, and the Giants were fighting for their playoff life. If we have to score 50 we score 50, but both the offence and defense need to stay focused if the SB50.

Absolutely. Good QBS are good and make games difficult to win.

Certainly not in terms of pass protection. They gave surrendered the 3rd fewest sacks.

That's not necessarily an idictment of their oline.  The patriots rank right near the top in terms of sacks.  And their oline has been decimated and not playing to the level that the patriots are used to.  Like Brady, Eli gets the ball out quickly and their offense relies on the quick pass game which negates the pass rush.

These big comebacks all have on thing in common.  Panthers get a big lead early and then our offense goes to sleep/is non productive for twenty minutes or so putting all the pressure on the defense.

Just scoring a field goal or two would have given the defense some time to rest and not allowed such a big momentum shift.

Shout out to the not so special teams for their part in the second half collapse too.

Sick of the excuses for this defense

what happened in New Orleans, quoting Luke, 'Drew Bree's happened'

that is not a great response

i don't  know if Thomas and Luke are injured...I don't if Star is along for the ride and CJ, where is our 80 million de

All I know is giving up 28 points, In What 10 mins, they should have had to walk home

I really don't want to hear about that defense anymore until they beat, thoroughly a playoff caliber team.

this is Newton's team and he has carried this d's ass for most of this year with WRs that would be on the bench for other teams

this is not the first time this year they have done this. What is the saying, once can happen, two is a problem, three is a tend.  Put Ealy back in starting and get Allen out of there. Do some thing different

The offense scored 35 points.

Let me say that again, the offense score 35 points and took their time doing it

what was the defense doing on the bench, Facebook, words with friends

One of the problems with big leads we play a little softer defensively. Giving the offense players some space. We play to let them make the catch then tackle. Problem is Roman Harper in Space is horrific. Dude can't tackle in the open field for $hit. Slow as molasses in the winter. I'd much rather see Boston in the secondary when we have a big lead.

More Boston, Shaq. Activate Delaire and more Addison. Some of our veterans really suck in open field rather see the youngsters

"Surrendered" may suggest we chose to take Eli and Beckham away so all they had left was the run. They took what the defense GAVE them.

If this was track and a guy blows your doors off and waits for you to catch up then looks you in the face and cruises by, that's dominant and embarrassing.

This game wasn't cardiac cat like at all. I wasn't worried like I've been in the past they had it the whole time. Having #1 helps a lot though.

This is not the 2013 defense, that's for sure. The offense has been masking a lot of issues.

Front four been generating very little pressure in passing situations and the and run D continues to be an issue for whatever reason. Seems like almost all of our sacks are the result of blitzes or good coverage.

38 points, right?

I guess its the offenses fault that they didn't score over 50 so that the defense wouldn't surrender 4 TDs in less than a quarter.
