This guy doesn't get enough credit. He's been getting better and better each week. On that Ted Ginn TD, he made a sensational block, he spread his arms out and just took two would be tacklers out, Ginn just turned on the Jets and it was a thing of beauty.

Gettleman, Matsko, Rivera. My god this teams coaching staff and brass are just amazing. I'm not only sure we'll win a super bowl, but with this much talent and Talent evaluation, it will be multiple super bowls.

He has been a major difference. Seems like we can take these veterans and revive them.

Yeah, but he got brought along by Matsko, correct? I think that has some credence.

I can't imagine it'd be hard not to get psyched blocking for an MVP-caliber QB and the responsibility that comes along with it.

I was one of the people skeptical about this signing, but I'm pleased to eat a steady helping of crow. His PFF grades haven't been stellar, but to the naked eye, he's been phenomenal in pass protection and he's getting better in the run game.

I remember when many on here blasted the signing.

Yeah but you can't possibly expect any of the armchair GM's around here to be satisfied with anything less than signing the top available Free Agent (on paper) for every single need on the team.  We all know that's how champions are really made.  That's why the Cowboys and Eagles are so good every year.

Boo armchair GMs.

this year has been filled-full of crow-pie for them.

I honestly don't see how anyone, knowing our cap-situation can honestly expect us to sign marquee players, especcially knowing that we have a ton of marquee players that we need to and have signed to LTCs.

we'll be in no better positioning this offseason to bring in any marquee players other than trying to sign Norman for a few years and restructuring Kalil's deal.

Just glad we have Coleman, Oher, Ginn and Tillman signed for next season ahead of time.

we just need a solid draft-full of OL, DL and DBs for the future.

I wouldn't say he's been a star or anything. But he is consistent. Cam knows what to expect and that helps Cam be Cam. A number of people would just point to Bell for Oher swap as the big change on the line. But it's more than that. Remmers has been steady on the right compared to Nate Chandler last year. Oher has avoided injuries. Some of our worst performances last year were with Bell inactive. I would say our line has 1 elite player in Trai Turner. The rest are average or above average. They just have great team work and a scheme/QB that allows them to succeed.

    • I'm super excited about the guys we're getting back, and fortunately this year, outside of Robert Hunt, we haven't had any season-threatening injuries. Rico has earned the start, but I am excited to have both available.  The team is finally turning into the run-first team Canales said he wanted to be. As for JT Sanders, I think he has lost the most be being out. He is probably our best receiving TE, but with the emergence of Mitchell Evans & with him and Tommy Tremble both absolutely balling in run blocking, it will be hard to fix something that isn't broken. I'm hoping Turk Wharton can help with our pass rush. We really havent gotten to see him much due to injuries, but we desperately need anyone to provide some pass rush juice, which is what he was brought to do. I'm the most excited about Jalen Coker returning. Theilen may have been the most clutch last year, but I've watched a lot of film, and Coker was the most consistent WR we had when he was out there last year.  I think he can be an ideal #2 to Tmac. While Coker doesn't have the raw athleticism XL does, his route running, savvy, and overall football IQ simply make him better.  I think with the fact Coker can play both outside and in the slot will give our pass game more versatility.  We have been running a lot of 2 TE sets, and I think Tmac & Coker should be the primary WRs for 12 personnel. The other WRs (XL, Tremayne, Renfrow, & Horn) all have roles, but I dont think any of them can fully replace what Coker can do. I do think Renfrow will be inactive this week if everyone is healthy bc of how valuable Tremayne is for ST and as a run blocker. So happy that we are playing meaningful football heading into November. We are still almost certainly a year away, but we are absolutely moving in the right direction
