Question I've always wondered: I keep my music on my phone, so do these guys use MP3 players or their phones? Seems like if they used their phones they'd be getting a lot of texts, calls, etc. (hard to focus). Just thinking out loud.

Bose Bluetooth actually doesn't kill good sound at all. I can confirm since I own a pair. I can't agree here with you Jeremy, I don't like the look of those Beats.

Bluetooth compresses and converts the source audio codec so it will never sound as good as the original source. With that said if your source isn't great to begin with, (Pandora, bad mp3 rip, etc) then you probably will never notice a difference. Get a pair of studio headphones and a solid headphone amp and prepare to be blown away.

Bluetooth as a technology ruins sound, regardless of headphone make and model.

I'm not an audiophile like some of you seem to be or my brother, but I don't have any issue with quality bluetooth headphones. I have a pair of Martin Logan over ear headphones, a pair of v-moda crossfade's, and my most recent acquisition is Jaybird blue bud x's. The first two are corded and have SOMEWHAT better quality (actually the v-modas are just plain filthy good) than the jaybirds but the jaybirds hold their own remarkably well I think. I don't have any issues with them at all worth complaining about. And they are absolutely perfect for working out, wandering around the house doing chores, etc. I hate getting cords snagged on everything i walk by.

They are better since Apple bought them. Still over-priced, though.

I have a crappy set I got at HT for 20 bucks that work just fine. Even has a built in mic so I can answer phone calls.
