ok in defense of the pansies lol....similar opponents are Philly (they looked better...27-16 vs 40-17) and Green Bay (they looked better...37-29 vs 38-8) and Seattle (close showings there...wash)

yes they have lost more game (two vs one) but are trending better

of course this perception could change after this Sunday

I get that the Cardinals beat Philly and GB by a greater margin of victory. I am simply saying that Arizona is not a flawless team. They have been beaten twice, which shows their offense and defense are not the greatest things since sliced bread. Yes, those losses were some time ago, but they are still losses that this Arizona Cardinals team took. The fact that they only scored 13 against the Steelers does not mean their offense sucks, which has been borne out by the rest of the season.

Regarding the Panthers, the fact that they gave up a big lead against the Giants and lost to the Falcons does not mean their offense and defense suck. First, to lose a big lead, you have to acquire a big lead. Regardless of the 13 points scored against the Falcons, the Panthers have shown the ability to score with anyone, hence their scoring offense ranking. Over the course of the season, the defense has also shown the ability to stop the other team when needed on far more occasions than not.

I am not saying the Panthers would blow the Cardinals out of the building. I just don't get all the people saying the opposite. Like I said, the Cardinals are a really good team, but if/when they play the Panthers, they will have to be another really good team to advance.

The loss of Bene makes me worry about the Cards more than anyone else. Without a pass rush to make Palmer throw early, I can see our secondary struggling to stay with their receivers. If we do end up playing them, our pass rush needs to be dominate and our offense needs to have long time consuming drives to keep their O off the field.

I know right! Mark it on the calendar! Lol

Maybe I'm just ignorant, but hasnt Palmer been a middling QB his whole career?

What  do you determine is middling? He's been AFC player of the year, multiple times pro bowler, FedEx player of the year. He also had like 10 or 12 games straight with 100+ QB rating and averaged a QB rating of over 100 in a season.

He's thrown for more than 4k yards 5 times in his career, and he's only thrown for less than 60% completion once in his career, and that's when he was hurt in 08. His numbers this year match up with exactly what he's done his entire career.

Honestly the Seahawks concern me more than the cardinals. It's much harder to beat a team twice in a season than once (part of the reason division games like the game vs the Falcons this week can sneak up on a superior team).

We're better than the cardinals, but I'm concerned about the Seahawks out-adjusting us for the second game.

At this point they have the healthiest team going into the playoffs so they are talented. I dont agree that they are a hard nosed team. When teams punch them in the mouth they have to rely on the refs to give them yards. We are the anti cardinals at this point.

Just like the 49ers the year they went to the bowl the Cardinals biggest weakness imo is at quarterback. This team is so athletic (especially on D) and makes Palmer's job easy. They have possibly the fastest slot WR in Brown (which is a weakness of ours) and two legit outside weapons in Floyd and Fitz. A solid running game with David Johnson and it looks similar to what Kaep had with guys like Gore, Boldin, Crabtree and VD.

I believe the Cardinals have a good enough team to carry Palmer to the SB but like the 49ers the year with Kaep, they'll fall short due to the QB position.

Really? You think Palmer is their weakest link? He runs that offense very efficiently. He has the best WR group in the league which automatically makes him better. Despite being built solid top to bottom, there is no way QB is their weakest position.
