guys it was a non contact injury to the knee that had a partially torn ACL. I think said ACL gave way. Hopefully we can win this guy a ring, he was great with the peanut punch, even if we only saw flashes, the teaching he brought to our squad wont be forgotten.

Peanut really should retire (as well as Harper). They both gave it their all this year and provided great vet leadership. Old in football years with bodies that have endured the rigors of many years of abuse and can't heal fast, it's time to hang it up

We saw more than flashes early in the season. He was exceptional for the first 6 games. Had moments late in the season. Ultimately he's just a battered warrior that can't hold up a full season.

Peanut looked like a guy who knew it was over. Looked like he was tearing up a bit on the table. I hope I'm wrong but I guess in some ways it's better that it happened now instead of during a playoff game where we scramble and aren't prepared for it.

guy has been great for us and we should consider ourselves lucky a player and person of his caliber  was apart of this historic panthers team.

Although sacks are great, just pressuring the QB & disrupting his rythm is effective. There were quite a few pressures that forced Winston to throw early & miss his target or to just throw the ball away. Especially in the 2nd half when the younger DE's were playing more. We did much better this game.

I was going to ask the question too. Was it the same knee that was hurt before??

It was the same right knee that was injured before.

Every team in the playoffs is facing challenges when if comes to injuries.

One of the great things this year is the Panthers have the depth to go the distance.  Panthers have plenty of younger guys that have not seen a lot of playing time, but have performed well when given a chance

Also the great players take their game to a level beyond that seen during the regular season.  I am hoping to see such a performance out of our d-line, especially CJ.

I fully expect that the ACL finally gave way, hated to see that, and not for "football" reasons.

Tillman is one of the better corners of the past 20 years, and I'm happy that we got a chance to see him in a Panthers jersey.  Looked like he knew that is was over when he was chatting with Moose.  Hate to see a player hang them up when injured, but so many of the greats go out that way.

Hell of a corner, and an even better man.

Keep Pounding.
