Three teams in that division find their 'franchise QB' but ironically it's the lone team that starts 7 3rd stringers throughout the year that made the playoffs. Houston's defense it not even that good. Mariota is gonna need a lot around him to bring his team to 10+ wins. He doesn't make players around him better, the team didn't even improve with him. Winston, on there other hand had his team in a playoffs hunt. That's the kind of effect a true franchise QB should have on a team when drafted top 5.

Those GMs don't wanna acknowledge failure when they draft those QBs high, unless they find an immediate replacement that keeps them contending. So, most likely, Luck will be given a bigger contract than Cam to validate him and spend the tenure of that contract blaming the defense. Just like Cutler.

While I think Luck is far more deserving of a big contract than Cutler ever was it is still astounding to me that Luck will probably be the highest paid QB and very few will have a problem with it.

The sad thing is like Cutler, Luck will be coming off an injury-riddled season where his backup performed better than he did in the same system. People forget that Jay Cutler got that ridiculous contract from the Bears after McCown stepped in and absolutely outplayed Cutler that same year. And then, people like Mike Florio at Profootballtalk praised the contract extension saying that even though the Bears "might have over paid at least they found their QB for the next 1/2 decade." LOL by the next season, Cutler's hand-picked Head Coach Marc Trestmen was being fired because Cutler still was turning over the ball and losing games for the Bears.

Not to obsess over Cutler, but did you know that he literally has two winning seasons since high school? Between Vandy, Denver, and Chicago...2 winning seasons...

Relativity.

Other people's kids are obnoxious and undisciplined. Yours are just "playful" and "rambunctious".

For all we know, Matt Ryan is a nice guy. But he's a rival and he once told us to get the @#$% off his field, so he's a complete a--hole and always will be.

I get why it happens. Yeah, it's silly, but the vast majority of fans either can't or won't separate the person from the player.

Cam doesn't tell opponents to get the fig off his field, he celebrates big plays. ~60% of the league does the same

I really don't get what it is. His dancing? How is that different from a gronk spike or Rodgers thrust?

right now probably the dab is the main aggravation, which is the dumbest fuging outrage I've ever heard.

I mean I literally watched the Giants defense do "Ballin'" from Jim Jones for half a fuging season about a decade ago. These guys were doing it after like batted passes or sacks, and Cam can't even do a motion after he gets a first down without everybody losing their poo. What Cam does is unique to him but like you said, a lot of players have their own unique idiosyncrasies. Rodgers does his WWF championship belt thing, Gronk spikes the ball, Brady yells at referees, Peyton Manning rips his chinstraps off as dramatically as possible, etc.
