And yet week after week all through the year we have some of our "fans" shitting all over Shula.  And it still won't stop, even if we win the Super Bowl.  I think some people must really hate the running game or something.  I can't figure out why so many people can look at this offense and say it's not fun to watch or effective.

I'll admit that I have bashed Shula in the past, particularly when a playcall truly puzzled me. I will also admit that as this season went on, and I saw more and more what he was trying to accomplish come to fruition, and that I busted his chops less and less at an exponential rate. It took me a while to see the misdirection, and the ability to run or pass out of a simple, yet effective set up, which threw defenses into fits throughout the year. I will gladly eat my crow, as he's done a great job building a unique offense that suits Cam perfectly.

Nice job Shula. Keep it up, and you and Ron make sure to keep the foot on the gas for the full 60 minutes. Cam can and will win the game for you; now just let him do so.

I'll admit to being really really disappointed when Ron/Dave brought Shula back after the 2014 season, thankfully that is why they are the guys in charge and not me. Shulas offense is just so fascinating and complex, it's nigh on impossible to copy because it requires the perfect storm of a team, it would only ever really work with us because it's been tailor made to work for Cam Newton

If someone hasnt had fun with this team and offense, they have no hope.  This has been as good as it gets.  I just want it to last a few more years (and i think it should).

    • You don’t even need 1b because Tepper is the only one foolish enough to wheel that deal.    Player wise? Jake’s elbow. JR and Pep getting sideways, no Carruth, Cam’s shoulder, Luke’s concussions, it would be a long list of stuff. You can take it down to certain plays in games. Fox chasing 2 point conversions in the SB would be on my list. RMJr slipping at the end of that same game was not helpful.
    • Ultimately this just amounts to heavy revisionist history. I mean you aren't talking to someone that just popped out the womb a week ago. I was here all throughout the predraft process. The overwhelming majority of the fanbase felt like this was a fine situation and the best situation for a rookie QB to go to compared to Houston for example. The hype for Young and our "rockstar" staff was off the charts. No one could dare speak cautious skepticism of his abilities or they would be neg repped into oblivion. Only after he had one of statistical worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years did we get this narrative now that his rookie season actually shouldn't count. Complete malarkey if you ask me.
    • On the field? Since I guess it qualifies as multiple instances it might not count, but have the damn refs throw some flags on illegal hits to Cam's head in SB50. If that doesn't count, 1A. Cotchery caught it 1B. Kasey keeps that kickoff inbounds. Off the field? 1A. Team is sold to anyone but Tepper 1B. We have the patience not to mortgage the franchise on that Bryce trade. Stroudwpuldve been the better pick but he's not worth it either.
