Panthers are 4-0 against top 5 defenses in the league.

It's not going to be easy. Their #1 defense is leagues beyond the #2 defense (Seattle?). I think Cam is going to see things he hasn't seen before. However, our coaches have & will have him prepared. Wade Phillips is a heck of a d coordinator but he's not new to the game.

Denver has not faced an offense like Carolina's all season long.

The Panthers have faced offenses like the Broncos offense numerous time, only they don't have to worry about passes over 20 yards.

This won't be a close game.

I'm thinking something like 4-5 interceptions for Manning. This defense is so damn opportunistic, and Manning throws a beautiful duck.

Manning may even get to have a standing ovation as Brock comes in with the game out of reach.

I don't know. The Broncos defense is pretty damn good. Easily the toughest defense we will have faced this season. One of the best overall defense over the last half decade. I don't care what you say. Watch them. They're nasty.

The matchup to watch is their offense vs our defense. If we can get up by a couple scores early, Denver has no way of crawling back into the game with that offense. I'm not predicting a blowout. I think we win 24-13 or so with the game never really in doubt.

If they double Olsen, and contain Cam then they have a very good shot to win.

Denver has fantastic players at CB and on the d-line. Von Miller is on another level, that guy is a freak. We're going to need to make shutting him down a number one priority.

The rest of their defense is solid/pretty good but not ALL-Pro level.

Not turning the ball over, and most importantly capitalizing on drives were we get into the endzone will be absolutely critical for our offense.

I still maintain it is our defense who needs to give us the clear advantage in this game- i.e. creating turnovers

lol Lots of coffee already? ;)

You brought up Denver's defense's ranking, not their offense. So that's what I posted about.

I said it won't be easy. I didn't say it would be a close game. Or even that they would win.

    • Bryce has been in the NFL 3 years and still looks like a very mediocre QB. Most games are nothing but mediocre plays with a highlight reel every now and then.  He is a very INCONSISTENT QB and it’s very fustrating. He does not deserve a 5th year option, even though the Panthers and all the dumb asses in the front office will give it to him.
    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
