Here's what I hope CAM NEWTON says this week, especially on Media Day

LUUUUUKE

Recommended Posts

I can't help but scour the internet all day long looking for fresh perspectives from people writing about our team heading into SB50. I've noticed a trend among article titles and the overall media sentiment as a whole. Guess what? It's pretty disturbing!

Just now on NFL.Com they have an article titled "How to beat Cam" written by none other than Bucky Brooks. It's not just him though, it's on Sports radio, it's on yahoo, ESPN, AP, name the publication. One of the premiere narratives is this

HOW WILL DENVER BEAT CAM

There's only ONE problem with it, they don't have to beat CAM, they have to defeat the CAROLINA PANTHERS!

I want Cam to say something to this effect:

"I've noticed that the narrative on the outside has become how will Denver beat me? Then I want him to laugh loud and proud, then deadpan and look straight into the camera. Denver doesn't have to beat me, they have to beat the Carolina Panthers, I am the man I am today because of the guys around me! You want to beat me? That blueprint is already out, look at the first few years of my career. Only thing is, this isn't the same team as those teams, and I've improved every facet of my game as well! From top to bottom we're better in every category and our record speaks for itself! So while I'm flattered that the national media thinks all they have to do is beat me, they're wrong. They have to beat the other 52 guys that are going to suit up as well next Sunday night!! We're not satisfied, we're doing this for one another and everybody in the 704!"

He should then drop the mic and or walk off set.

So you saw that article but missed the countless others that's calling Cam the best QB in the league, the best player in the league, the new face of the NFL for the next era, how this is going to be a passing of the torch from Peyton to Cam, how Cam is about to cap off this historic season with a Super Bowl win to wrap up one of the greatest seasons of all time, past Cam haters eating crow and calling out any Cam haters still left out there, etc.

I could really go on and on.  The articles out there about us right now are far more positive than they are negative... especially about Cam.  Some are even now calling him the potential GOAT.

You missed it bro. Yes I've seen them all. Cam also will very likely make a sentiment nearly identical to what I just said though. Put that in the bank. That's just who he is, but he's also getting crushed by the "old guard"  media for being selfish and cocky.

Him saying what I want him to say shuts them the FUG up!

While that is something I sure Cam will say because that's his character, QBs like Cam, Brady, Rodgers etc get the most attention especially from an offensive standpoint. It's just how it's always been. Just like how the past week they were talking about Brady vs Peyton as if those two were literally going against each other.

He's already called Manning "The Sheriff" so there's nothing but respect & a full understanding of NFL history coming from Cam. He'll respect Manning up to when he wishes him good luck before Cam takes the stage to accept the Lombardi. :D

Wow! When did he say that?

    • What people fail to understand is Lance had a college career that lasted about as long as teenage boys first intercourse.  To say he was raw was an understatement.  So much so that even a QB whisperer had a difficult time molding him into a polished NFL product on top of multiple nagging injuries.  The dud is in his mid-twenties, finally healthy and little miles on the tread.  Low risk, high reward.  If he's available, it would be stupid not to kick the tires.  It took Darnold and Mayfield to hit their 3rd or 4th team for things to finally click.  This is Lance's 3rd stop, I believe.  It's either time for it to click for him or be relegated to a full time backup. Roll the dice....
    • Wrong.  At least we put a QB sneak in the play book and and add plays over 20 yards.
    • I don’t know if people realize that Evan’s was one of the top TE prospects in college  before having some horrible injuries. I wanna say he had two major injuries in back to back seasons which limited his play and dropped his draft stock.
