Jeff Mitchell is retired now. But, 12 years ago he was preparing to take on the Patriots in his second Super Bowl in Houston, Texas. Mitchell's first trip to the big game was with the Baltimore Ravens. 

Only 11 days stand between now and kickoff. Mitchell says only one thing has disappointed him this season - the opponent. 

“I wish we were playing the Patriots," Mitchell said. "Because the rematch would be really sweet and I would love to see the Panthers beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl.”

You can only play the teams on the schedule, but it sure would have been nice to see the Panthers dismantle the Patriots in this year's SB.

on topic I agree with mitchell.  this super bowl is a mismatch.

How can you guys even read those names? I can see Gross and Mitchell but that's it. I was 10 years old at the time I wasn't aware of who most of who the offensive lineman were.

half that oline tested positive for peds so i tend to ignore em
