well then show us what you're made of, guy. I don't just want to see talking like we've always seen I want you to follow through.

"You can’t worry about making a mistake. You’ve just got to go out and play. That’s something I’ve always been able to do, and I didn’t do it well on Sunday. How do you fix it? Well, it will be fixed, I promise you. It will be fixed. I’ll be back to me."

I'll tell you what, if Jake can overcome his last two games, that man is one of the strongest-minded people in the world. No matter what he says, his confidence has to be as low as it can get. You rarely ever see a good to serviceable athlete just completely lose it, but when you do you never see them get it back. It will be one of the greatest stories in Panthers history to date if Jake can turn it around and lead us to the playoffs. I will have even more respect for him as a player and person than I do now.

i'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt right now. next week? cross that bridge when we come to it.

i want to see how he responds. i want to see how the team responds to all of this. off the field the response has been good but the only response that matters is while the clock is running.

luckily for jake, there's only one direction he can go from here. :)

no, there's two. he can get better (yeah right)

or he can be benched (most likely not until another game or three like his last two)

my guess is, the staff will keep him in, he will continue to suck, and will be benched after mid season and we will win only 4 or 5 games the entire season.

didn't we just see how they responded to the arizona game?

so, you want to see how they respond to a failed response?

then what, see how he responds to the bad response of a failed response?

then..... how he responds, to a ..................

    • To be fair, I kind of like Bo but he was BAD this past weekend.
    • What I noticed was Tmac running free on deep routes a lot. Can we just get PJ or Hooker to throw go routes on every play for the rest of the season? It would be more exiting than this current mess.
    • We're all aware of the frustrating Week 1 for Carolina, but there's reasons to see Arizona as a possible get-right game. While this will be Zona's home opener (requiring the team to travel out west), they were barely able to hold on to a lead against the hapless Saints who got a chance to tie the game up with 2min left that ended at the ARI 18. Kyler Murray was 21/29 with 2 passing TDs but for only 163yds (5.6yd AVG) and a QBR of 50.9 (RTG 108.8). He was also sacked five times for 33yds. Meanwhile, Spencer Rattler went 27/46 and was sacked just once for 6yds. Kyler also carried the ball seven times for 38yds. James Conner struggled to get going (12 carries, 39yds) but Trey Benson had a good day thanks to a 52yd scamper (8 carries, 69yds). Arizona has weapons in MHJ and McBride, but the CBs have been playing well enough for McBride to be the true focus of the defense. MHJ had a good game though against the Saints, so hopefully Jaycee + Mike Jackson can disrupt that connection. The Cardinals also aren't a disciplined team... with an opportunity to put the Saints away they gave up a TFL and a holding penalty before having the field goal attempt blocked. Their OL suuuuucks at run blocking and got better pass blocking from their TEs in week 1 than they did from any OL except for Paris Johnson Jr. Isaiah Adams and Hjalte Froholdt especially had issues as did Jonah Williams. If the Panthers' revamped DL can't get pressure against them it might be worth giving the alarm a pull.
