Peyton Manning is the worst quarterback to ever start a Super Bowl

Oh boy I will just leave this here.... Kind of hard to argue though.

Peyton Manning is not the reason the Denver Broncos beat the New England Patriots and made it all the way to Super Bowl 50. He's not the second reason. Or the third. Or, well, as it relates to any one individual's contribution, let's just say Denver's quarterback is happy to be along for the ride........

Manning has not thrown a pick in almost 10 quarters.

There is a chance that the "ghost benching" humbled him and got him on board with the program.

Plus, as J'no says, he is "P f'n M"

Add in his legacy and the fact that he is the only qb in history to lead two different teams to multiple super bowls and the hack that wrote this should go back to the blogosphere from which he came.

I honestly wonder who would win a game between 2 evenly matched teams with Trent Dilfer on one side and Jimmy Clausen on the other. I would give Dilfer a slight edge, but I think it would be close.

I have a hard time believing there will be another QB as limited as Dilfer that will ever again make a SB, let alone win one.

Dilfer only completed 12 passes for 153 yards and a TD in the 2000 Super Bowl. The Ravens thought so little of Dilfer they didn't even try to resign him after the SB when he became a free agent. Dilfer critiquing QBs now is irony at its finest. At least when he first started at ESPN, Dilfer at least had the decency to preface his critiques by stating the obvious about he could never perform at a high level, etc. As the years have passed, he has become more comfortable with just being called a SB winning QB.  Kind of like a lottery winner who forgets to mention that fact over time as he refers to himself as a multi millionaire.

Peyton Manning at 45 will still be a more formidable QB threat than Dilfer. Brett Favre couldo wait a few more years and still outperform Dilfer in his "prime."
