Why do you say that?  He's been a decent back end of rotation. Good run stopper.  You can't always sign pro-bowlers.

Decent back end of the rotation is Addison that actually produces, this guy got released and stashed on the Practice Squad for a reason.  He's not good depth, because he gets pushed back when pass rushing.  Run stopping is cool, but meh.  As a DE, that does nothing anymore.

I disagree but that's ok.  Addison is a legit pass rushing specialist.  When you carry 9 D-lineman on gameday, you gotta have some guys that can play the run too. If they replace him with someone better, cool.  But he's cheap and can contribute.

He doesn't contribute much at all, but cheap he is, and I hope they find somebody better in free agency.

2 sacks in 2013 and 3 in 2014 (more than Delaire had this year and with fewer big leads), as well as a forced fumble in the playoffs last year, on the snaps that a DE #4/5 gets isn't too bad. He's not starter material and didn't get PT this year due to superior depth/suspensions, but not the worst DE they've had recently by any means either.

Guy has a role with this team and does it well. D.G filling out the backend first. Get the depth and then look for bigger fish.
