Players' Opinion of Cam - Changing Tide?

I sense a change is coming.

As Cam enters the middle/prime of his career, and guys entering the league aren't annoyed with him (they actually idolize him), and guys who are his age range and older begin to respect him more for his on-field accomplishments, there will be a change.

I think mocking Cam's moves is losing steam. No longer en vogue. Who makes fun of someone they respect? It's one thing to do it if you have a beef with someone... but who does Cam have a beef with?

Carolina fans have been talking about these double standards for a while now. Even radio hosts, columnists... But when players from other teams start bringing it up... I think that says a lot. Cam is the new face of the NFL, and I think a lot of players are happy to have him represent them. He has the attitude that many of them wish they could have.

There's probably been other tweets from players before that I haven't seen...but the fact that this one little tweet is getting attention... this is a big deal.

For a second there the title made me think players on the team were changing their opinions on cam. That would not have been good. Back to the topic, I was saying the same thing earlier about this party boat. If cam did this it would be all over media outlets and random ppls Twitter about how cam isn't a leader and is immature. ESPN thinks gronks boat is awesome, fun and just Gronk being Gronk.

Dude paid 10,000 dollars for a couple to have sex on the dance floor in front of everyone. Cmon, just think what the reaction would be of Cam did that. I redo ally don't have a problem with Gronk having this boat party, my problem is with ppl dogging Cam for lame poo and this is ok with them. Hmm....

If Cam did this, ESPN would discuss it nonstop just like they did with his press conference after the Super Bowl.

Because of the way he acted during and after the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl VFX videos only made it worse. Luke is the true leader of the team.

Why because he was pissed we lost? Cam puts his body on the line every week and gives it his all and there is no way we would have even played in that game if it were not for cam. I would rather have him be pissed then sit up there and be a robot and say the same Politically correct answers.

let me guess, you had a problem with the fumble too? Have you ever seen a qb dive for a fumble? Not counting the fumbles where no on is around and they just cover it up. Ealy picked off Manning and he could have tackled him, but instead he kinda hung back and avoided the tackle. That's not a big deal, but Cam take a step to far to the ball and backs up to dive on it, but it was too late. Like I said, the man puts his body on the line every time he run, and he runs through people and jumps over the goaline all the time. So, he's clearly not afraid to take a hit. Sorry your opinion has changed on him.

    • The year he had another edge rusher opposite him in Reddick, Reddick ended up having more sacks. Burns was good at rushing the passer here but he was taken out of plays far too often by a single TE or you'd never even known he was in the game at all.  The Rams offer was equivalent to prime Khalil Mack or a TJ Watt. Those guys single handedly took over games and stopped drives. I can't remember a game Burns ever did that. Do we wish we had the level of production hes giving right now? Of course. Do I think we'd have it here. No.  At the time, his production was on par with Reddick, not Parsons. Pay production and incentivise potential.
    • Technically our guys are in the top 6 in sacks for rookies and Scourton is tied for the lead.
    • That's why so many said he wasn't worth it here, there was only DB and it wasn't enough. If Burns is feasting then the other guys in NY are doing enough already, Burns is just collecting the stats. It's what he eas built for and is finally in his perfect space to succeed. Im not as in on the new guys yet. More is an understatement but the good news is that they are rookies.
