Players' Opinion of Cam - Changing Tide?

Why because he was pissed we lost? Cam puts his body on the line every week and gives it his all and there is no way we would have even played in that game if it were not for cam. I would rather have him be pissed then sit up there and be a robot and say the same Politically correct answers.

let me guess, you had a problem with the fumble too? Have you ever seen a qb dive for a fumble? Not counting the fumbles where no on is around and they just cover it up. Ealy picked off Manning and he could have tackled him, but instead he kinda hung back and avoided the tackle. That's not a big deal, but Cam take a step to far to the ball and backs up to dive on it, but it was too late. Like I said, the man puts his body on the line every time he run, and he runs through people and jumps over the goaline all the time. So, he's clearly not afraid to take a hit. Sorry your opinion has changed on him.

The guy you are replying to,  seems like a very weak minded individual,  that allows his beliefs and opinions to change based on the rise and fall of popular opinion from those in those in the media...and from fans of other teams.

To get back onto topic, I think guys generally like Cam.  He's honest, he's "real" and he's successful.  Those are all attractive qualities to pro athletes.  Cam will have your back.

Honestly, the whole SB drama is getting played up because he had fun while winning, and he's ALWAYS has problems with losses.  He didn't serve the NFL media machine, so he's been put on a cross for it.

Players want to play with Cam because they see he will put his body in harms way to win.  How many balls have Brady and Manning jumped on when 600 lbs of man meat was rolling on it?  How many temper tantrums have Brady and Manning thrown?  How many scandals have they been part of?

All elite, competitive QBs have these issues.  It's just glossed over for some, and not for others.

I see what you're saying and I don't understand the people who find a problem with this.

Because your other options are as follows:

- A player who has fun while winning, but also finds losing fun!  Wheeeeeeeee!

- A player who hates losing but hates playing the game so much he's miserable when he wins too.  Wheeeee!

- A player who is a robot and reveals no emotion, pleasure or pain.  This is what many consider the "ideal" (i.e. white).  Except for the fact that all of the respected robots out there actually DO show emotion at times and, when they do, its explained away as "character" or "passion".

Nailed it.

Lol everyone else on the team was upset that they lost too. The difference is that they acted like men about instead of like a child ala Cam.

This acting like a child poo people talk about is really get under my skin. I have said this since day 1! I want a QB  who hates to lose, and let people know it. I love how CAM is straight up and wears his emotions on his sleeve. I dont want my QB to give lip service to make media fugs happy. I dont want a QB that smiles after a loss and says gee golly we did our best and we will get them next time.

I love our QB is like a saiyan in DBZ  every time he is defeated he comes back even stronger.

And why even have press conf for losing team after a big game. We all know what they are going to say...well suppose to say and if you dont, it is very similar to the walk of shame Cersei had to take in last seasons game of thrones.

This was his response to Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless discussing Gronk partying on a cruise ship.

Deion Sanders knows his tweet is BS. I guess he wants to keep that check coming.

I guess Cam doesnt make plays and his MVP was just some paper. FU Deion

Well good for him. My opinion on him is still in a massive decline though.

Because of the way he acted during and after the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl VFX videos only made it worse. Luke is the true leader of the team.

Lol if you don't think Luke isn't the true leader you didn't watch the VFX videos. Luke was passionate and encouraging everyone. Running up and down the sidelines being an actual leader. Cam did nothing but mope the entire time. I guess he was sad that after he fumbled there was no way he was getting that "super bowl mvp" he dreamed of.

You're such a waste of space.

Cam is what a lot of athletes, even ones that aren't on board, want to be. He has the attitude, the confidence and the spirit that many of them wish. So for him to be "the face of the NFL," I think it's good and he will gain more league support--not that he needs it. Lots of players though don't have a problem with Cam until it's their team he's playing and scoring on. Kids LOVE Cam because he's one of them. It's a slew of players coming out of high school and college looking to be like Cam--not Peyton, Tom, Gronk, etc...Cam.

On this Gronk situation, we know if Cam did it the world would end. Cam had a baby and people were having heart attacks, questioning his Christian values. "People" do not want to admit that the double standard exists. Deion said something that disgusted me about when you win, you can do these things as if Gronk didn't play for get knocked out by Denver and Cam headed a 1-16 team. It's real. But I hope Cam keeps his attitude, keep his spirit, have fun winning and be so bad at losing it becomes foreign.

Team Cam!

    • I've seen enough tape review to see that we run crossers...we have dudes in the middle of the field. I have to think that this is a harder area for someone of Bryce's stature to hit. You have to see directly over the center of the line and is probably where the most interceptions happen (he has thrown a LOT of his picks by not seeing a dude in the middle of the field).
    • I’m pretty sure we did end up getting the first in that drive, but I don’t remember. It was obviously a catch the ball didn’t move
    • While I don't think NFL games are fully rigged, it's certainly closer to a scripted outcome than we all think. The NFL by their own admission in court is not a fair and balanced sporting event. It is a managed entertainment product, a "spectacle" as they've put it, that now has sports betting as a huge financial pillar of their business model. It's ridicuously naive to still think the NFL isn't using referees to manage the games towards certain outcomes, using "replays in the booth" and overturning calls, choosing to overlook penalties at critical moments and calling questionable and sometimes phantom game changing penalties at other critical junctures of games. The NFL has always done this going as far back as the '60s, and they were investigated by the FBI in the '70s which found a large number of ownership groups had ties to the mob. So when the overwhelming majority of the moneyline bets were on the Panthers vs the Saints last week, and suddenly we see some strange and ticky tack penalties we've rarely seen called on the Panthers all year, I just know there's more going on behind the scenes. And suddenly next week, the Panthers will probably be nudged to a win, to keep the NFC South race interesting, as I see the Bucs are the favorite as of now and most moneyline bets will trend towards the Bucs until during the game when the Bucs are leading heading into the 4th quarter, and the Panthers are nudged to a win. At least, that's what the NFL and Vegas probably want to happen.
