the only memorable things i can think of was stew's vertical leap into the endzone (i've never seen a RB get that high) and ted ginn's deep post catch where he ran out of bounds like a bitch.

regarding when i'll watch the superbowl again ... the moment we win it all next year, i'll be able to rewatch it without the anger and emotion I possess now.

Don't forget Kony Ealy's interception.

The only way I rewatch this superbowl is if after we win a superbowl first .

Hell yeah our defense did great for almost the entire game. It was almost entirely the offense that shat the bed I don't need to rewatch the game to realize that. Played real tight (maybe nervous?) and made way too many mistakes.

That being said I don't think it invalidates what either Cam or the team accomplished this season, it was a great season that saw the panthers only lose 2 games and get back to the Super Bowl for the first time in over a decade without their #1 WR.

While I agree it doesn't take away from what they accomplished, it DOES take away from the fact that other than winning a ton of regular season games, we couldn't seal the deal. That fact alone takes away all the accomplishments (to me at least), but then again, I just really wanted a Super Bowl win and lord knows when it'll happen.

You never know what might happen dude. The 72' dolphins got killed by the Cowboys in the Super Bowl the previous year , came back the following year to go undefeated and win the superbowl, and also won the Super Bowl the year after that haha. The Bills went to 3 damn Super Bowls in a row after losing their first. You just never know man.

In all likelihood we will be in the playoffs, maybe even with Home Field Atvantage again depending on how some other NFC teams do. Win 2 or 3 games in the playoffs and we'll be right back there . The team will be very motivated after putting in a piss poor performance offensively last Super Bowl. We're getting Kelvin and Bene back , Cam is coming off of a MVP season, we're not losing any key pieces I don't believe, you don't know who we might sign or draft that will help us to have that extra edge we need to get the Lombardi.

Well I try not to think about little details like this too much.. no game is ever guaranteed in the NFL and you really don't know what will happen until you watch the games play out. I'll keep watching them reguardless , even if they somehow suck next season ..

. poo Denver lost their first four Super Bowls badly and then had to wait another entire decade until winning their first one. They had to wait 38 years to win their first championship. The Panthers are still are barely a 20 year old very young franchise with a promising future imho.

I finally mustered up the reserve to watch the NFL turning point video about the Cam fumble late in the game. Worst part was Cam telling Dorsey that he had Funchess open and was trying to get it to him. We would have had the ball at Denver's 45 at least. Ugh. As for the full game? Never. I rewatched 38 up until Kasay's kickoff, but I don't think I can rewatch this game.

    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
    • Am I the only one who doesn't understand this fan bases infatuation with adding a high end TE? Especially when we have some bigger bodies in T-Mac and Coker who can slide into the slot at times and provide the big dependable target over the middle that most teams use their TE for. I mean, sure, it would be nice to have one of those elite TE's, but I feel like that's a position your better off going cheap with a committee who each bring something different to the table while spending our cap room on the more important positions. I like the potential we saw from Evans this year, Sanders could be a best if he can stay healthy, and Tremble has improved as well.  Just feels like spending high draft picks or cap space on other needs and more important positions is a better use of our resources than splashing on a TE in the draft or FA. Are those guys on the level of the Bowers or McBride's of the world?  Of course not, but we also are paying a fraction of the cost on our TE room than they are, and we're able to use that money for other needs.
