Josh's response to the AP

Norman wasn't in a talking move shortly after the development was announced.

"Man, I just don't feel like talking about it right now," Norman told the Associated Press.

He sounds pretty disappointed and hurt in regards to his release.

So Josh, the ball's in your court. Do you want to get paid, or do you want to win championships?

Any true Panthers fan should better hope that he comes back. If he doesn't, it's a hole in our secondary.

I'm still in hopes that he comes back ONLY based on his reaction.

Let's hope that we get him back, I for one will be sad to see him go. Until he signs elsewhere there's a chance.

Just now, The Lobo said:

I hope he comes back, but it's not looking good.

Totally agree, but tbh I'm a bit taken aback by his response to the AP.

Its very telling if u ask me. Let's hope his team mates are in his ear to come back, finish what they started.

It's a remote possibility I suppose. But I would not expect him to return like a situation we saw with Charles Johnson. CJ was coming off a rather mediocre season aside from a few flashes in the playoffs. Norman was pretty much the best CB in football last season. Someone is going to throw serious cash at him.

Well, with that attitude, he's obviously disappointed. He wants that big contract, but it seems he wants it from Carolina. He's been trying to prove his worth to Carolina the past few years, and he feels he's finally done it, but the FO isn't buying it with good reason. I'd be disappointed too if the team I loved and played my guts out for didn't consider me a priority or a key piece. I think JNo will finally submit when he realizes he won't get a Revis contract anywhere. He's getting emotional on his business side of the deal, while Gman is sitting cold as stone.

I agree 100%

He will now get the choice that he wanted all along. Get to chase the money or stay home and win.

It's tough, and id like to believe that a conversation took place between Gettleman and Josh prior to the announcement. If a convo took place and he was given a heads up, I think obviously that there's a higher propensity for Josh to come back.

I have to think that whileGettleman was right in cutting Smitty, that he learned from the way in which he did it. <--- some people won't understand that, but I know the die hards will.

    • The ONLY thing Chark was better at during his peak than T-Mac is right now, is that he was an actual burner. T-Mac has better hands, more fluid and agile, better catch radius, better route runner. It's not about stats but short of literally having the video at my disposal (and know how) to cut clips together to compare them, it's just the quickest/easiest way to do it because they's so absurdly polar opposites in output. And again, this has absolutely nothing to do with T-Mac, it's 100% about just being realistic with who Chark was as a player.  I genuinely don't understand why people seem to think Chark was some all world player at any point in his career, he was never anything more than a league average player who had one decent statistical season as the only decent WR option on the team that year. I'd have said the exact same thing last year about MHJ, Nabers, Odunze, and BTJ vs Chark too.
    • Just stop, man. All the college stats don't matter. Plenty of guys who put up big numbers in college flop in the NFL and you and I both know that there are 1st round and top 10 busts every year. While we definitely hope T-Mac isn't one and we hope he proves to be a great NFL WR, you can't assume poo about a rookie who hasn't played a down of NFL football yet.
    • therein lies the problem.  Carry on
