I just updated the OP.   Here's the list so far.  Thanks @jdpanther5 for the updates.  I've not been able to get much time on Twitter this week to search for news.

OG/OT Tyrell Smith U Mass

Interesting. Played two years at Arizona State before transferring to Samford. 6'5" 250

Also, Samford runs the Auburn/Gus Malzahn offense, so he should be familiar with the parts of the Shula offense that he implemented from the Malzahn playbook.

lets talk about a  guy no one is talking about that Gettleman signed to a future contract back in like January.  Larry Webster.  guy is 6'6 252 (profile says 270 now)  ran a 4.58 40 in the combine and was drafted in the 4th round by the Lions out of Bloomsburg.  This dude could be a huge diamond in the rough for us on passing downs.  Freak athlete.

Poor guy, no RTs!

Just googled him.  Played for HBC Savannah State, but couldn't find much else about him.

Poor guy. :(

Anyone think with all these TE's we're going after that Dickson maybe heading for the door?

I think they know they need a TE who's at least a decent blocker since both Greg and Dickson are terrible at it. They brought in McNeill last year - better blocker and worse receiver - but he apparently didn't bring enough to the table to beat out Simonson and/or Brockel.

I came across a few of those types while looking for other invitees. It's a little depressing but sometimes it works. Last year we invited the ECU longsnapper who showed up to the combine (uninvited) andgave out customized beer koozies with his measurements and workout numbers printed on them. Jets just cut a guy they signed after he showed up outside the stadium with "Will run for work."

Agreed, although McNeill retired around this time last year. I think Sandland and McGee are competing for the third receiving TE spot while Bonnet and Johnson will be after that TE/FB "Brockel" role that Simonson currently holds.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
