How much is your cable/phone/internet bill?

My employer pays for my Internet, so no big deal there.  $128 a month for three phones, $115 for Directv (or it soon will be once I get around to cutting off HBO since game of thrones is no longer playing). And $5 a month for my landline/voip.

btw, want to know why people have less money nowadays, just look at this thread. 40 years ago, my mom paid $15 a month average for phone service with Ma Bell, and watched 3 channels on an antennae based television.

200/20 speed internet + over-the-air channels through TWC, with my own modem - $49

Netflix 2 screens, subscribed about half a year, so around $5 a month

Sling TV basic tier (ESPN, ESPN2, AMC, CNN, IFC, etc) - $20

Various Roku channel apps with family member cable provider login info, + downloaded torrents - FREE

Verizon 2GB w iPhone 5 - $45

No land line - FREE

So, out the door - $119 a month?

NFL network now on Vue. Core and Elite packages and red zone is one time add on of 40 bucks.

8 bucks a month basically for RZ. Similar to cable or like a buck or two cheaper.

I thought about starting a new cord cutters thread since they finally added NFLN.

Luckily for me I get out of paying for redzone as its a free perk for PSL holders.

1 thing I'm curious about is if I need to still buy an antenna to watch regular season panther games. Vue gives me Fox,CBS, NFLN, ESPN (no  live NBC yet). However the preseason games have not been televised on Vue's Charlotte Fox network and I'm wondering if that will remain the case for regular season as well.

Do you live in the Carolinas? Local should be good to go for antenna.

    • They will be if they extend Young but I don't think we're there just yet. Morgan and Canales are tied and I don't believe Tepper is going to go look for a new front office for Bryce as things stand.
    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
