Corey Brown may be on roster bubble...

Corey "Philly" Brown is a lock. David Newton has no clue.

Indeed.  We missed Philly out there tonight.  Norwood & Hill did nothing that I saw to help them gain a spot on the 53.

Pending something drastic, the WR battle is over:  KB, Funch, Ginn, Philly, Bersin & Byrd.  I think 6 is pretty much guaranteed to keep KB's snaps limited until he's really full go (he doesn't look it yet), and given Philly's shoulder...

I have been a philly brown critic before, but there is just no way. He is the best route runner on the team, when every else can't get open HE DOES. That's what we need.

Pretty much. In fact, you could argue that the downside of having such big targets as your primary receivers is that you give the QB less incentive to be accurate with the ball. Big catch radius, yes, but you get too sloppy and behold, tipped ball or sailing it way over their heads with an interception being the end result. A receiver who is crisp with route running means it becomes more about placing the ball in just the right spot. It can help a QB keep focus about what they have to do. It keeps their wild arm in check, so that they throw pinpoint lasers to tight spots.

Basically, I feel like Philly keeps Cam honest and in similar turn, Olsen and Cotchery last year.
