NFL execs compare Colin Kaepernick to Rae Carruth

This is truly insane to compare Kaepernick to a guy that paid a hitman to murder his pregnant girlfriend.

They called him a traitor and another executive also vowed to resign if the owner of the team asked him to sign Kaepernick. What a sick world we live in.

Now the media is doing there thing....where they paint a world we don't actually live in.  I hate the we polled 20 people and let's listen to the one crazy guy to set the tone despite the other 19 being normal humans current media.

But as an employer getting ready for a season and looking in that vacuum it is understandable why a team wouldn't want him.  They want to play a football season not deal with a Tebowesqe circus of it came to that.

Completely fabricated by BR.

I'm not a big BR fan, but to be fair the article doesn't actually say what the thread title says it does.

Here's the Rae Carruth reference in full:

All seven estimated 90 to 95 percent of NFL front offices felt the same way they did. One executive said he hasn't seen this much collective dislike among front office members regarding a player since Rae Carruth. Remember Rae Carruth? He's still in prison for the plot to murderhis pregnant girlfriend.

So what the executive actually said was that he hasn't seen someone this universally disliked since Rae Carruth.

That's not the same as saying Colin Kaepernick is just as bad as Rae Carruth.

People are still free to criticize the executives stance on Kaepernick, of course, but it makes more sense to criticize then for something they actually said.

The thread title here isn't truly accurate.

    • I think you should see the OP for pretty big reasons why that is a completely incorrect take given this is a Dave Canales team.
    • TMac is a good player and would've been the right pick if our QB could throw a ball farther than 40 yards. For this team's current build (run first, game management passing attack) and the fact that our TE's are laughably bad - the five on our roster have combined for less than 600 yards total, with 3 TDs - Warren should've been the pick.
    • If anyone feels like they can't have a conversation about Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career maybe assess why and how these conversations end this way instead of looking to shoot the messenger. Why is it okay to label anyone else on the team or coaching staff trash? Folks on the huddle and across the fanbase on social media have fully thrown anyone and everyone including rookie 8th overall pick TMac fully under the bus multiple times this season. But some of you guys apparently expect a pat on the back because Bryce Young successfully evaded a few potential sacks while Tyler Shough got consumed by our pass rush throughout the game and still had a superior performance. The state of this division is hilariously mediocre at best. Bryce Young is the only player on this roster who is allowed to have the lowest bar possible yet we have invested the most resources in him. It's lunacy.
