Drug dealer tells judge: "You dab it like Cam Newton."

This is the drug dealer, Adam Robert Harris.

The case started seemingly simply enough. Adam Robert Harris, 25, a chef from California visiting family in South Carolina, was caught in March in Clover with more than oregano. He had a kilogram of marijuana and almost half a kilo of hash oil. York County drug agents had heard about Harris’ selling dope, and then busted him in the act, 16th Circuit Assistant Solicitor Hannah Grove said.

Circuit Court Judge Dan Hall wanted an explanation of hash oil. Marijuana, sure, Hall had heard of that.

“What exactly is hash oil and how is it used?” Hall asked.

Grove the prosecutor shrugged.

So Harris broke out the Dab, right there in front of the judge.

He even said that using hash oil “dabs” are simple: “You dab it like Cam Newton.”

Hall was not amused. He did not dab.

“I doubt Cam Newton is dabbing hash oil after scoring a touchdown,” Hall told the chastened Harris.

Hall had heard and seen enough. Nobody else dared dab in his courtroom.

“Twelve months in the Department of Corrections,” the judge said.

Harris did not dab again as a burly jailer led him off to prison.

Have fun in jail, Adam! Keep Cam's name out of your mouth!

I love how they use the kilo measurements to subtly tie it to harder drug stigma. Nobody ships kilos of marijuana product in the US. Probably 2 lbs of weed and a lb of wax. A year of prison for that, what garbage.

It's ridiculous. The war on drugs is abysmal and a farce. Much like the war on Cam's head the Broncos started. fug em all.

For reference, my 3rd felony conviction for marijuana years ago -before I left it all behind- was for 3 lbs of weed, half a lb of hash and 17k in cash. I got two years of probation. I had more than this dude and didn't get prison time on my third conviction. This judge was just being a cocksucker.

Sounds like a pretty good 48 hour weekend bender. 17k might have been enough to keep you supplied in fruit loops. I prefer cinnamon toast crunch and captain  crunch, but ya know, pointy edges.

    • yeah, I can get a little of that.  But that's not what he is posting in his argument just now though.   He said people wouldn't even concede to the literal ability to do it when pressed on the literal ability.  I have never seen that.  He maintains it exists somewhere.  I mean, using anomaly games to make arguments about players just isn't the way.   There wasn't a defender within 10 yards of our guys on 2 of those 3 throws Sunday.  No one within 5 on the 3rd.   That's not Bryce Young answering questions about his play downfield..  That's Bryce Young taking advantage of coverage busts by a bad D.  Which hey, that's part of the game too.  Recognition and seeing the field.   It can't totally be dismissed.   That's still good play.  You want your QBs to make those plays.  But it's not getting into the long standing critique of BY IMO.
    • Deserved, I wouldn’t use that word. Asked for? For sure. Am I upset over it? No.  People forget that AT was throwing his helmet in frustration last season over his QB’s ineptitude. The same QB was pretty inept to start this year, no guarantee AT would have helped him in those games any more than he did last year.  Just sayin.  And Dan doing him a solid probably did not go unnoticed by players around the league. I think it increases his rep with potential FAs. It sure can’t hurt it.
    • You think that was the fault of the guy that was lighting it up or maybe the bums around him? Funnily enough, those bums are still being bums in his absence. Who would have thought!
