Panthers may be winning, but fans still acting like losers

Where exactly are your PSLs? I nearly had a heat stroke today and my flesh is still simmering. Same thing last year with the Texans season opener. It is brutally hot. The crowd did as best as they could, I could barely move when I got home from the heat cooking me the entire day. Give it a break at ridiculing those who spend their hard earned money to attend faithfully each week. Furthermore the team was basically in victory formation under 2 minutes.

i went to that Texans game. ill never go to a September game again, unless the tickets are free. i understand it

Again... it's nice to sit and point fingers when you're at the top of the castle. It was MISERABLY hot today, I had to take a bathroom break 5 times to put water on my head and my balls were stuck to my left leg the entire game

Yeah, I can't stand the humidity, no way I could do it. As soon as it was over...What about 3:00 minutes in the 4th? I'd be gone as quick as possible.

gee, i wonder why the panthers fanbase, one born of the corporate era of the NFL and located in a part of the country that had pretty much been conquered by the redskins decades earlier, isn't as loud or passionate as a fanbase like the packers, a team that was around pretty much from the start of the league (and was winning championships before world war II) or the steelers who have six super bowls and a massive national fanbase.

i guess it'll always be a mystery

The Panthers have been winning a lot lately, but if you watched the fans in the stadium, you'd think they had been watching the Browns for the past two seasons.

Its terrible really. No one stands and makes noise unless the Jumbotron tells them to. 90% of fans are in their seats at all times. And a lot of spectators still don't know to shut up when the Panthers have the ball.

I took this picture today seconds after the clock hit 0:00. With about 5 minutes left in the game, fans began to pour out of the stadium. The stadium was maybe 30% full at the 2 minute warning. Check out the seats below the Jumbotron in the picture attached.

Honestly, I'd like to say there is hope for a culture change, but that might not be for another decade.

Shame. Seems like there's not a lot of hardcore fans. More of just something to do on a Sunday afternoon.

    • Well there goes the bullied victim spiel.
    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
