His plan is very shortsighted. I realize his article was strictly about limiting KBs effectiveness, and his schemes look viable in theory and if the Panthers only ran two reciever sets the entire game.

I can assume that he under the notion that KB is our only viable wr or receiving option for that matter.
The analyst did not address how the Vikes will scheme for KB, when you throw in Funchess in three WR sets or account for the match up nightmares Olson's presence will cause.

Now to be fair. The article is about stopping KB specifically. Not sure what you were expecting, once you read the title.

I understand your point, but my point is just IMHO I don't see how those suggested schemes would be successful
.
1) after 1st qt or so of implementing said schemes the Panthers could possibly be 3 TDs,
with Olson and Funchess and possibly Ginn on their way to career record days, unless schematic adjustments were made much earlier.


2) I don't think Rhodes can shut KB down in 2016 like he did in 2014, just my opinion. Because 2014 Panthers had a seriously hobbled Cam Newton and much of the team in transition. I just think 2016 KB will win any match up Minny and Zim.et can scheme up.

Ain't...that...cool? It is great to say Panthers, and one of the best teams in the same sentence. And just know you can. We are scary good. With a HOF bound, transitional, monster of a QB leading the way.

He did reference the fact that in every scheme there are inherent flaws? But the crux if the matter is...you are right. We have too many weapons. Do the best you can to stop us. And don't take it too hard when it is not nearly enough.

 

IMHO, against our Offense. Cover 2, and take your lumps. Make us wear you down. Don't do anything stupid to embarrass yourself. Better teams than yours have failed to stop us. Take heart, and go away.

      Teams do some super stupid stuff with mid-fairly good QBs. I think they are just absolutely terrified they will be stuck with a QB that is not the quality of the QB they have now, even if its someone like Daniel Jones. Lots of trash QBs go in the first round. I encourage you to take a look at the sad, sad list of first round QBs in the last 15 years.

      No, it will be a raw 6'7" 17-year-old European who just played basketball for the first time in March and who the idiot GM "had first on our board." He'll play the whole G-League season, get in 42 games for the Hornets and average 1.1 ppg on 35% shooting. Been there, seen that.

      We missed on Burns at his peak value. That’s the problem with trading for picks 2-3 years away (which people were convinced the Rams would suck by now and these would be higher picks btw). Each year away the pick is the further in value it drops. Fitt was clearly hired based on turning us around quickly. It’s one of the many reasons tanking isn’t really a thing as our player JJ is telling you in this original article. It would take the whole organization from the owners down admitting they aren’t winning soon with Burns and picks 2-3 years away having more value because that’s when we are still rebuilding. It would only make sense if Fitt had a longer leash and would more than likely be the ones making these picks anyway which you wouldn’t want. The question is would you rather have those Rams picks with the strong possibility of Fitt still being here or would you rather Fitt try to “win now” like he did and expedite his firing? Altering the timeline would affect more than just the Rams picks.
