The Trade nobody wants to talk about suggested by Jason La Confora: Joe Thomas to us for a 1st rounder.

Actually Joe Thomas plays LT, not sure if you are aware but that is on the opposite side of the field from Von Miller?

Also not sure if you are aware but Oher will be back in 1-2 weeks and that 1st round pick would be better used on a future building block for our team vs. a 1-2 year stop gap at a position we are already good at.

We aren't already good at LT.  Oher has been beat like a drum this year.  Which overall has been what he does most of his career. He was serviceable last year....when you play weak guys consistently at a key spot they eventually fold.

Sarcasm or you are stupid?

I think it is a combination of sarcasm, and what the kids nowadays call being edgy. The new hipster. Non conformist type spiel. Instead of the Goth "Woe is me", he is more "Woe is you".

Or,I could be wrong and he is...just plain ol' goofy

alrighty then where are your facts?

In Gross 's retirement press conference.

If you've actually listened to it then you know that narrative is bulls--t.

And Wharton retired because he didn't have it anymore.

So do you have a single link other than stupid fan speculation to support your argument?

Not to mention he went to work for the Panthers after he retired from playing.  Highly unlikely to do that if you quit because of the general manager.

I find it hilarious that people are making fun of anyone that suggests we trade a 1st rounder for Joe Thomas. If DG could find a way to protect Cam that alone has more value than whoever DG drafts next year. Even if Thomas only has 3 years left in him.

This organization needs to be realistic about our window of opportunity. Cam can't keep taking these beatings and given DG's draft history I don't see how giving up a 1st for Cam's well being is a bad idea. I'd bet everyone here would be pretty excited if we drafted a real good LT prospect in the 1st round in next years draft.

With the proper protection Cam can go back to making everyone from the front office and coaching staff appear like geniuses as they continue to short change him on the offensive side of the ball.
