And I thought the overreactions were bad after we lost...

This is about as bad as it gets. Whew. Absolutely horrific idea from a Madden GM.

You're right, let's just continue to sign washed up or undrafted OT's and draft big receivers who can't run routes so Cam can contiue to get killed.

Look I know we haven't been playing great not to mention the added turmoil that has seemed to follow our team this season. Can we all relax just for a sec, see how the team performs then have a somewhat informed duscussion? Hating on gettleman is fine, but for everyone pooing on him today, I don't wanna see you flip flopping if we start to see results on the field. Let's let the tape be the judge.

I for one have been and will be consistent when it comes to G man, dont like him period...

If you seriously think we've ruined Cams chances I'd say that I think you're being a little reactionary. I seem to remember a team in the greater Boston area starting their season off on similar terms and doing OK. Now admittedly Rivera is no BB but let's not write off our season. Two years ago we made the playoffs on 8-7-1. There's still a chance in the NFCS

From day one, we should have been building a mega offense around a generational QB that only comes around once in a blue moon. Should have loaded up money on the O-line and drafted talented WR's, and just let the D be mediocre (which is what is already is now). We have wasted (like the Colts) a young superstar QB's talent and the chance of mulitple superbowls because of the incompetent coaching staff, GM, and 90s philsophy. What a damn shame.

What do these top teams in the NFL have in common right now?

Vikings
Broncos
Eagles
Seahawks
Patriots

Compare to these teams

Colts
Jaguars
Bears
Giants

Some of you are just not mentally tough.

My God i bet some of you snap if your chicken biscuit order takes 2 mins too long.

Calm down and keep your head. Get to 3-3 and tweak some plays and the roster and get healthy over the bye and just win 9 games and you get back to the dance.

Some of you should take up fishing

It's not about being mentally tough, it's about being disappointed that a team with such potential seems to have been gutted for no good reason.  We understand that SB caliber teams are rare for small markets like ours.  We aren't the Pats or Steelers or Packers.

We needed some improvements from last year and instead of addressing them, they were ignored (O-line especially).  I can't fault DG for letting Josh go, but at least get something out of it.  He's not worth $15M a year - no chance, but why not use the franchise tag for another year?   Why not keep as much of the core QUALITY talent from last year and try for another run?  Saving cap space for a time when we're mediocre makes no sense.  Spend some money when you're close and go for it.

If we can get back to 3-3 then we might breathe a little sigh of relief.  The way we are playing however - it's a longshot... even at home... against anyone.

You aren't seeing mental weakness - at least not by everyone.  We're all fans and have been here through thick and thin and most of us will continue to be.  What you're seeing is passion for our team and our community.

Off-topic, but if I see one more stupid Von Miller commercial my head may explode.  Seriously.

The problem is that people bought into the mediocrity because for some odd reason they believed Gettleman could do no wrong. Getty's gambles, significantly based upon Band-Aids---whether UDFAs or proven veteran backups---have sent the team in a tailspin in a year when it appeared we should have been able to make another run. The chickens have come to roost. Cam covered over a multitude of sins, but now good defenses have learned to master the Jedi mind trick. Between that, a green defensive backfield, and an apparent inability to adapt (thus far), we've been looking kinda terrible. And the kicker for me is that some still don't want to realize that criticism is justified.

Will we continue to flounder, or will Gettleman and company get us straight? I don't see how anyone knows with any surety. We're just along for the ride.

This is a repeat of 2014, except our division is better, and we don't have JNo and Bene sitting on the bench waiting to prove themselves.

Flip flopping  Gettleman? I've always said Gettleman is Polian 2.0, living off his QB accolades. Last year Cam took Gettleman's chicken sh*t and made it into chicken salad. Gettleman got complacent and thought Cam can do it again.

If we do turn it around it will be because of the players not the GM.

Laughable.

When it does turn around, it be because of a group effort.

Yeah we got Sanchez and Worley. Haha sentiment is sill there though. We all know the panthers love a little adversity, all last year people were wondering if being frontrunners would affect us. Well now we got that underdog role back and a little more fire in the belly.

    • You exclusively highlighted Hunter's name on the injury report and then immediately cast blame. I've pointed out that this wasn't the hospital ball you claim it to be while also acknowledging that there could have been another option to target instead of Renfrow. By everything you've expressed here, you don't think seam routes should ever be thrown. I don't know how that helps the already struggling offense, but I do know that it would make it even worse than it already is. Scapegoating never has and never will solve anything. Tell you what: Try not blaming Bryce or casting shade his way for the entire week after Arizona and instead look at the other 21 starters and assess what they're doing (again, without shading Bryce). I'll join you and refrain from exploring what the rest of the team is doing and will focus solely on what Bryce needs to do better. Deal? This is a sincere peace offering to allow us to explore the other's perspective and perhaps be even more informed football fans.
    • TMac PI throw was a TD too.  Bryce just drastically under threw it.  Renfrow and TMac set themselves up to BOTH have great days.   the story of last of no one was open…..isn’t a defense the Bryce Young defenders can use so far this year
