Hey Huddlers, let's celebrate just a bit of Panthers GOOD NEWS.

Just saw two pretty jaw-dropping stats re: Fozzy that made me smile.  He's been one of the bright spots in this otherwise really dismal season.  He's really balled out the past 3 weeks...

First:  Fozzy is tied for 1st place among all RBs in the NFL for yards per attempt:

Not only that,  He is tied for 6th in the NFL in terms of Catch %, having caught 19 of 21 targets - best % on the Panthers:

WAY TO GO FOZZY!!!!!

I like Fozzy. I really do.

But in all honesty 90 percent of his runs are HB draws on 3rd and 30 thanks to Shula's magnificent playacting and Remmers fantastic penalties. So yeah he has great carries per average, but when he's the 3rd down back and our offense is in 3rd and 30 almost half the time, he's gonna get at least 10 yards when we run that draw to bring up a 4th down.

He is a good compliment to Stew. Panthers  need to use him smiliar to how ATL used their RBs against Broncos.

Should we bump the previous Fozzy thread and compare comments?

I never understand the discontent with him.  He does what he's asked and has improved in the system over the years.  With all the crappy play, it's nice to have someone as dependable and fundamentally sound as Fozzy.

      Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .

      Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.

      Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
