Our defense should implement a system. Whatever you do to Cam, we do it 2x harder to your QB. I'm at the point where I don't give a fug about other teams QB when ours is fair game. Fug your QB, I hope our defense Chris Simms your asses.

They don't want Cam as the face of their league. They saw this coming for years too. He got better, he got more confident, he got a little more cocky, his swag got a little meaner and then came 2015. He won and he won big. When he lead the Panthers to the Super Bowl and won MVP, that did it. No way they were gonna let him walk away with that ring and they have to show him now. Imagine if Cam took a helmet to helmet hit in the pocket that went uncalled, much like the one Barron put on him this Sunday. Now imagine the next series, Tre Boston comes in on a blitz and hits Smith helmet to helmet. Gets the call.

What better way to prove that officials are not calling the same penalties for Cam?

 

and I think you're taking this a little too seriously. obviously our players aren't going to do this but boy would I love for something like this to go down.

It is blatantly obvious to the media and the casual viewer that Cam is getting a raw deal with these calls. Even those that I speak with who dislike him can't argue what they see every week. And yet we are left scratching our heads week after week at how it continues. So I sincerely doubt our boys throwing a few dirty hits and getting flagged is going to do anything but give the opposing teams better field position and leave us in the same position we are now. The only difference would be the team losing their image and morale and that's not something I as a longtime fan want to see.

Yeah, eventually the league will have to acknowledge it....but it will suck for Cam

Cam is a man and will adjust and hopefully the team will see we need to buy some protection. I predict another QB will be lost in the playoffs .

Part of me wants the team to be dirty, but we need to be better than that. I said last month the moral high ground always wins. May not be now, but later, being the better team will prevail.

Man I have always been so proud of he class with which our players, coaches and staff conduct themselves....but I am starting to think I'd be ok with us responding to cheap shots with a few of our own. We probably will get flagged, fined tho.

You're absolutely right. But I am so freaking frustrated by all these blatantly obvious hits that aren't getting called. One of the greatest athletes of our generation is either going to have his brain turned to mush, or decide to walk away from the sport.

Well, since Monday night,  knee shots while being offsides is only a 5 yard penalty we should get a few 5 yarder's early. This of course is meant as satire, I do not support cheap shots unlike the NFL.

Right? It seems like the refs just come up with rules on the fly now with whatever they deem fit.
