Because, like most Panther fans over the age of 25. I had a team to root for before the Panthers came along. As I grew up in Michigan, my team was the Lions.

 

As I now live in Spartanburg, and have had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Richardson a few times. I am a Panther fan. I mean, the Lions were around 40 years before I was born. But I got to see the birth of the Panthers.

 

Panthers are my #1, but the Lions still hold a place in my heart.

Wildcard? Seriously talking wildcard? The ONLY very slim chance the Panthers have to make the playoffs this year is by winning the division. Wildcard was over with after the Chiefs loss and probably before that.

Yea.  I mean, it's possible, but the best chance the Panthers have of going to the playoffs is by winning the division.  We're 3 games behind the Giants and essentially 3 games behind the Redskins (10-5-1 > 10-6, so we would need to get 1 more win over them).  

We need the Falcons to lose 2 games outside of the one they play us in, and then obviously win that game.

It's the NFL. Crazy poo happens all the time (see: Chiefs game). Until they are mathematically eliminated, they are in playoff contention. Why bother cheering for a team if you don't want it to succeed?

I gave up on the playoffs as soon as we lost to KC. We can't beat good teams and seem to give up leads and not score in the second half. With Luke out, I don't think we can make any playoffs. I'm not saying lay down to other teams but making the playoffs will take a miracle.

The real question is why the fug does it matter even if we get in? I'll get flamed for this but I don't give a poo, I don't see us beating the Cowboys or Seahawks come postseason time anyway. Our goal was the Superbowl, and that ain't gonna happen unless the offense starts to look remotely like last regular season's Panthers O. It's such a shame though, wins vs the Bronco's, Saints away,  Bucs home, and Chiefs home, all of which were games we probably SHOULD have won... Will end up fugging us big league in the end.

For one we have Cam fuging Newton, we are never out of it. We beat that same vaunted dallas oline resoundingly last year and could do it again. We always play the seahawks tough despite personnel. Yes we have injuries and yes we have fugged up this year but you cant count us out. If you dont give a poo find a new team to root for.
