Is this graphic supposed to argue that there haven't been a lot of 1st round OT busts recently? If so, I think it's failing.  You don't spend a 1st round pick on an OT hoping for a marginal starter, you're hoping for a good starter at least. There are only 64 starting OTs in the NFL. IMO, if your 1st round OT doesn't at minimum end up being a top 20 OT, he's a disappointment. If he's among the bottom half of the starters in the league, it's probably not a stretch to call him a bust. A lot of those guys are probably only holding onto their starting jobs at this point because of the big investment those teams put into them. If they weren't former 1st round picks, they would've probably already been replaced.

You do realize that not ever Tackle goes against top notch Rushers all the time right? I'd take the information with a grain of salt.

I'd even suggest to study the best pass rushers and who they go up against. In division and conference to see what the tackles grades are. I'm talking about the premiere league pass rushers. Like Von Miller, Chandler Jones, etc.

Rate the tackles that way. There are some that are really high up in this ranking but don't face nearly enough rushing talent as others. Due to lack of talent among other things.

I mean before Remmers went full retard, he was actually good...Contrary to popular belief, he really was. I don't know what happened, either he was exposed or he lost his edge (no pun intended) that he's now a quality back up. After the SB he's been nothing but that. A back up.

The highest we've drafted with Gettleman is at 14.

Humphries was the selected one spot ahead of us and has underwhelmed. Arians has basically called him a pussy.

Armstead was a huge risk. He paid off.

Nobody here wanted Bakhtiari. He was a complete surprise. No one had him pegged as starter material.

Idiot.

Obviously you don't know football, every pick has  some form of risk its turning the potential into results by the organization.

It doenst matter where we pick we can trade up or down to get the player we want. I dont have all day but there are other OTs that where successfull that where picked in the same range we pick.

Idiot.

Agreed.

As for Remmers, Cam has said in the past that Remmers is the "panic guy" in the huddle. While he said it in a joking manner, there was probably a lot of truth to it. He may not be a mentally strong player and getting utterly dominated by Von Miller may have broken him. He's looked like a completely different player since that game. If that's the case, hanging him out to dry at LT is probably the absolute worst thing we can do.  But, that's all just speculation and it very well could be wildly inaccurate.

One thing is certain, want that oline to get better, drafting a marginal DT and 3 cornerbacks isn't the answer either

panthers traded a 4th this year for a punter

meanwhile the 100 million dollar QB continues to get the poo beat out of hm

the panthers can reach for 3 Cbs  do a luxury pick with an unneeded DT and trade for a punter but not a olineman

got it

Only one of those was drafted in the last two years. Now respond in some smart ass way with big font like an immature child

Really its the  3rd year that tells if the draft pick  was bust or boom and I member very well  from 3-4 years ago every huddler calling all the OTs bust.

Alejandro Villanueva

DJ Humphries

Rob Havenstein

Andrus Peat

Taylor Decker

Now come up with legit argument

Armstead was an OT from a D-2 school who had only started one full season. The only reason he didn't go undrafted was because he ran a nice 40. He was a bigger risk than average, numb nuts. Now go back to your cave.

Yea sure because you had access to all the GMs draft board and where they placed Armstead in the pecking order.  ( Just like Bradberry wasn't a big  school name prospect and huddlers where like we can get him in 4th round but nope DG valued his potential & gave him 2nd rd grade.)
