If we resigned Norman we'd be 5-6

It's certainly possible. We'd be in much better shape if Gettleman had made good decisions in the off season, but he pooped the bed. Now all fans can say is that his decisions might help in the 2017 season. Woopie.

Unless his presence would have kept the offensive line from being decimated by injuries and unless he could play safety too we  would still suck. we may have won another game early in the season but we are completely fuged by injuries this year

It's a relative not sucking...keeping Norman may have focused G-man on other issues...o-line...and we would be a step closer to developing some strength there instead of being another year behind and going full retard at CB in draft...

Mr Scott will argue day and night with the trolls and then tell anyone else who responds to that person they shouldn't waste time arguing with the trolls.

I like to let someone know when they're dealing with a troll. I don't necessarily tell them what to do about it.

As to me, I'll argue if I'm bored or in a snarky mood,  both of which happen more frequently this season because even when good threads do get started, some of our resident dimwits always manage to come in and piss all over them.

There are some guys that you keep because of their attitude and fire, not just because they are good players.

Josh I believe elevated people around him, and I believe we should have kept him.

Kam Chancellor is a guy like that for Seattle, just brings the competitive attitude- a want to.

KK--- not so much.

If Norman was resigned and not just franchised, Gettleman likely doesn't go full panic on CBs in the draft. maybe he drafts an OT or a safety instead of 12 CBs. That could have made a significant difference this season.

if only he would have reached for an OT instead of CBs, we wouldn't be in this situation

If we had the exact same roster as last year and were at this stage of the season without Oher, Kalil, whoever the backup center was (Velasco?), and Daryll Williams, and Luke was out and Coleman was out, and our best cb Norman missed 3.5 games, and Short didn't have an All Pro season..........

That against this schedule would probably be 9-7 at best. We barely won a bunch of games last season.

No, I don't think Gettleman should have reached for an OT. But I certainly don't think reaching for 3 CBs in a row was a sound decision either. He reached so bad for CBs that he had to do it 3 times in hopes that at least one of them would work out.

Could have at least added quality depth on the oline and at the safety position.

You have to remember that every other team is at least three deep with pro bowlers at every position.

We're the only team that can't handle injuries.

Even before injuries, we were marginal at best at OT, DB, and DE. We really couldn't afford any injuries there and when you're in that position, it's due to poor roster building.

NFL GMs have to take a lot of gambles, Gettleman's just blew up in his face this year. Let's see if he can rebound next season.

If KK doesn't have at least 3 sacks in this game tonight, let his fat ass walk. Use that money at JPP

1a. Joe Thomas/Joe Staley

1b. Eric Berry

1c. JPP

One of those 3 NEEDS to happen.  Bye KK.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
