Would you rather see us lose the last 3 or win last 3?

Win without a doubt.  Teams who finish strong usually see a carryover to the next season... especially with this franchise.  So win them all.  The only time I ever was fine with losing out was when this franchise was in QB hell and the first overall pick meant either Andrew Luck or Cam Newton....that was it.  When it comes to any other scenario... WIN.

My thinking is always wanting to increase our chances of winning a superbowl.  Winning meaningless games doesn't improve those chances.  Those of you who want the Panthers to win these last two games, are the same ones who complain about all the good players in the draft being gone by the time we pick.  So far, Gettlemen's late 1st round picks aren't looking very impressive.  Shaq Thompson barely sees the field and KB is beginning to look like a dud.  Vernon Butler looks to have potential, but the jury is still out.  What we need are top ten picks.  Sure fire guys like Cam and Luke to put the final pieces to this puzzle together.  If you give Gettlemen a late first, he will most likely draft a guy he feels good about, and not actually a first round talent at all.  What is worst is his late second round record.  Gettlemen has been shown to trade up in the second or third to draft mediocre talent.  Don't tempt this man!

We are much better off losing, there's simply no arguing this point.  Look at it this way, this is the same situation when it comes to eating healthy food vs junk food/fast food.  Vegetables aren't as tasty as a good burger, but by eating them you will be much better off in the future.  So stop whining children and eat your two losses! :-)

Now in the spirit of the Holiday Season. Please take this as it is intended. A gentle jab, nothing more.

C'mon man. It's nice to have a healthy sense of self worth. But proclaiming the only valid opinion is yours? Does sound a little self important, don't you think?

My brother in law is always right. But I am pretty sure he is the only one.

I think we are going to finish 7-9. Drop one to the Falcons and beat the Buccs. This may seem like a petty question, but would you guys prefer the team to play the 49ers and Eagles next season, or the Rams and Redskins? We may even finish as high as second in the division.

Rooting to win is rooting to lose.

Just in the future. You lose because it means no one gets fired and a lower draft pick. The same losing coaching staff will just lose more next year.

Personally, I am not rooting either way. It's just another game to me I will watch and the outcome is what it is.

I want a 7th pick, I want a new offensive system, I want the read option to die, I want the FO to give two shits about an Oline, I want a legit special teams, I want Gettle to learn some humility.

NONE of that is going to happen with 3 more wins. But maybe just maybe 3 more losses will convince JRs slow molasses ass that breaking all past trends of moving too slowly and watch bad mistakes slowly die out might not be the best option this time.

Winning.

Winning is good for the players.

Winning is good for the coaches (damn you Shula).

Winning is good for the organization.

The NFL Draft is a crap shoot.  Winning is money in the bank.

beside that fact that is allows bad coaches to keep their jobs.

no thanks jeff lol

shula needs to be got at all costs

    • overall agree on the draft grade as a whole on on each pick, but every time I read (and I have read it more than once) that we "gave up two firsts" for Bryce, I am confused. We gave up the 2024 first, but we swapped 2023 firsts, so we didn't give up anything there. We did give up our former first rounder in DJ, but I don't think thats what you mean as one of the "firsts" we gave up.
    • Didn't  see this posted (since 2023) but since folks have been posting that you can't judge a draft class for three years (a ridiculous take), I thought I'd post this to see what people thought about the 2023 draft. Unfortunately this may not be the most interesting class to do this with but I do quite like retrospective draft grades. Would appreciate other's takes on this (and other recent) draft classes.   1(1) - Bryce Young QB: I am a bigger Bryce Young apologist than most (maybe all). I like the kid. But there is no way around it: This was a terrible pick. If he had been picked in the 4th or even the 3rd round I would feel pretty good about it. But this was the first overall pick that we gave up two firsts, our best offensive player to get.  GRADE: C -    2(39) - Jonathan Mingo WR: not much to say here here. He was here for two years. His yards per catch are on par with Bryce's yards per pass. Rough stuff. To date he has still never scored a touchdown in the NFL GRADE: F   3(80) - DJ Johnson OLB: a pick I hated as soon as it happened and an example of why the premise of this thread is honestly dumb. This was a bad pick when it happened. Most people knew it.  Then came training camp and he did not look good. Then came the preseason which confirmed what we saw in TC. Then came the season which confirmed what we saw in preseason. To date, he has half a sack in his career. GRADE: F 4 (114) Chandlers Zavala G: Honestly the best pick of this draft which really speaks to how awful this draft is. Other than Bryce, the only pick still on the team. He is mostly average or below average depth which in round 4 is not terrible. But he had a pff score of 43.5 and though I think people have unrealistic expectations for draft picks, I still would want a little more from a fourth round pick GRADE: C+   5 (145) - Jammie Robinson S: I liked the pick when it happened but ended up being a disappointment. He logged 1 tackle with the falcons last year and not enough snaps to get a grade on PFF.  GRADE: F OVERALL DRAFT GRADE: F
