Not the entire offensive staff would need to be cleaned. Skipper coached with McCoy under fox and I'm sure Proehl would keep his spot. I also honestly doubt Pete Hoener (sp?) would go anywhere after the three years Greg Olsen has had.

Cleaning house for an offense based on consistency and quick strikes is not about the coaches; it is about replacing all the skill position players including Cam and KB.

Not necessarily. Look at the giants with Mcadoo. He brought in a west coast style offense and Eli was able to adapt and thrive in it... for him.

Don't let KB's laziness or the fact that Funchess is garbage cloud your judgement. Ginn and Brown are a testament to the ability Proehl has as a coach. The personnel he has been dealt is garbage considering that our owner has mandated that woffords own "golden boy" be kept on this team.

I gotta admire your passion. Even if you may just be a tad off base in you assertions. I mean, even Remmers, who is considered a waste of space around here, is still probably a better athlete than the vast majority of Huddlerz. So calling any NFL player "Garbage" does that player a huge disservice.

As to our WR corp., if, and that is a wishful if, KB can bring the same intensity next year, as he has shown the last two games? That is a win for us. Cuz the kid will be a beast. And IMO, Teddy has become a very competent WR. He can run every route, and his drops, other than those "This is gon be a TD" moments, have been a lot less this year. (Now is that Proehl, or just Teddy being more confident?)

But with that said. Outside of those two. We have openings to be had. Funch is probably 1st on the depth chart, then Philly, then Byrd. So, if you are a WR, and you are looking for a team. Why not us? We have the openings, we have Cam, and we have a team that may be ready to compete for a SuperB owl.

Below is my first initial response to you. I reread it, and didn't like it. But I saved it, just to give you an idea where I am at. I understand if you don't feel the need to read all this. I am used to it, as I seem to have a tendency to ramble. I know, hard to believe right?

Any player that makes it onto an NFL roster is not garbage. That is a fan thing, not an NFL thing.

And Bersin is still on the team, for one reason only. His consistency. Sure, he can play any WR position, he will catch anything he gets his hands on, and he has that back story. But, he has worked his butt off, to be where he is at. You do him a disservice saying he is on the team only because of Wofford. He is on the team, because we don't have enough legit WRs to force him off the team.

If the last two games are any indication. KB is back. If that carries over to next year? Or what if Byrd is still around because we like him? Once he was let go, we very well could have never heard from him again. But we brought him back. And he had a couple really good plays against TB.

Short story long. If KB brings that passion into next year, Teddy continues to show he is a capable WR, and not just a deep threat, Byrd puts in the work, and builds off of this year, and Funch does put that athletic ability to use. We can be very good at WR. Maybe not elite, but still good. All while having room to add a WR that can inject that extra umph into our Offense.

IMO, we have a WR corp. that we can go to war with. But, there is room for improvement. I just think that there is improvement to be had from Teddy, KB, and Funch. Maybe not so much for any other WR.

You don't have to replace anyone to use a new philosophy. It's why teams practice. The Panthers right now run a EP/Coryell offense that requires good routes and speed. Both of which we fail to utilize. KB is a perfect example of a player that needs to learn route running and body positioning. Same goes with fuch. Brown and Ginn are probably the two best WRs in the system at the moment because they understand routes.

What I guess I'm trying to say is it does not matter what you run if your OC sucks.
