When I look at Jabril Peppers, I seriously see a Jeremy Cash who can return kicks.  I don't know how he continues to be mocked so high.  And I don't know how Cash went undrafted either.  Basically, I don't seem to know a lot.

Peppers is a far better athlete, I don't understand why people are undermining his athleticism lol. A better comp for Peppers would be Tyrann Matheiu.

That's great. He should stick just for that alone.

On an off note, notice Michael Thomas. Like I said in another thread, he actually plays safety, and filled in fairly well when the Phins' two starters went down. Would add good depth if nothing else, plus is a special teams standout.

Tyrann Matheiu had 4 INTs and 11 forced fumbles in his two years of college, and far more tackles than Peppers (as did Cash).  He's also significantly smaller than either Cash or Peppers, who are about the same size, and who played the same role/position.  Matheiu played more of a traditional Safety role in college in a star-studded secondary.  

Not sure why you would think he's a better comparison to Peppers, although he actually won the Defensive Player of the Year in college, as opposed to Defensive Player of the Year for the Big Ten.  He also slid to the third round, but that was mainly due to character issues.

Cash is successful despite a lack of athleticism. He's tough and smart. Peppers is pure athleticism. I don't see the comparison.

Cash has plenty of athleticism, Peppers is just a freak, and his return skills are all that really separate them.  I think he's going to be kind of like Vernon Gholston--looks amazing at the combine but gets lost on a field of NFL-caliber players.

So what happens with Cash next year? He continues to be a special teamer? I can't really see any way to get him on the field right now.
